you could save some money and go for Daiwa Powermesh Stalkers 2.75. Lovely action and build (if you like
black)
Just avoid the 50mm butt ring version the standard is 30mm which is ideal

I have both versions of the power mesh stalkers 50mm butt rings and 30mm both have their purpose. 30s have gs4000 reels on them and the 50s have ultegra 5500 on them which my girlfriend uses as she doesn't like the lack of cranking power on the gs4000 reels. Having said that the 50mm ringing does feel like its softened the blank compared to the 30s.

50ml rings on a 9ft rod ffs !!!!! I would,nt encourage anyone to have above 25ml on a 9ft blank . The ****in idiots that build these make me laugh !

Does a 50mm ringing pattern hinder your chances of catching? Absolutely not! For someone that wants a short rod for occasional use without having to spend more money on a small reel, then the 50 serves a purpose.... stick your big pit reels on and away you go. Personally I'm happy we have a ton of choice these days. You pick a rod and ringing pattern that suits 'you'

I have the whychwood extricators in 9ft, do everything I want them too and well below your budget, had fish to 35lb on them too.

Me too. Only use them occasionally but they are good rods for the money, and a nice build.

I've got 9ft CTX creepers and can't fault them, nice soft tip but a powerful blank, had upper 20's from under my feet and the rods have not let me down.

Yep another thumbs up for the Wychwood Extricator. Used mine in France and had numerous carp to 50lb! They were absolutely spot on and they are very reasonably priced.

I just got a pair of powermesh. 9ft and they are really nice.
Has GS3000 on them, felt a touch to small so returned for gs4000, suit them perfectly

Absolutely nothing wrong with the extricator blank , they are cheap as the fittings are not the best , but if you are not in the market for high end gear i would recomend them .
