Morning guys has anyone had any problems with spomb keep opening in flight from the cast,I've got a small one that everytime I cast it opens up wondering if there's a fix or an adjustment or is it ready for the bin thanks in advance

you can turn the red bit of plastic round where the spring is and that can stop this.
Have a look online and Im sure there is a video clip that will help you

By the way if you nead a new spring , or any other parts for your spomb contact fox and like when mr and mrs spomb started out they will send out spares.
In fact they went beyond expectations recently.
So fair play to fox customer services in Belgium.

And try to make sure you don't get your free bait in the front of the nose of the spomb and its is not 'overloaded', no bits trapped in the sides as you close it.
I know that sounds so basic, so I can only apologise if you think i'm being smart alec, but I know every now and again I overfill mine.

That's fine mate I was half filling it but I thought it might be some particle dropping behind it so checked then double checked but I will start by adjusting it first if that dont work il throw in in dusty and bug a new one.
Are the spomb the best one or am I missing a trick maybe the nash or fox, I've had the fox before but found them harder to retrieve but never tried the nash one

They all have pros and cons, I've tried all of them and keep going back to the spomb.
There are good and bad spombs, same with the other options. Some are just better than others (open every time, don't open in flight etc).
You'll know when you've got a real good one as law of the sod says you'll crack off and lose it immediately lol.

I found the fox one retrieves ok if you dip your rod tip in and just reel in.I have tried the Fox,Nash and original and I like the Nash one the best.Im going to give the wolf one a try soon too

I got a dot spod last week and used it for the 1st time last night and had a few casts with it and wasnt fussed on it and went back to the spomb will give it anouther go next time im out

I dont tend to use a spomb that often on my syndicate most of my fishing is close quarters but in the day ticket is a different story but you are right I lost my last small never had the problem with opening on cast sods law

I think they do different sizes,future fishing do a yellow and green one for £15.49
