I live a 1000 yard walk to a little pond across the fields. Is it reasonable for me to walk across there and to fish?.

I think it's the unnecessary travel that's the sticking point. Not so much the fact that fishing or golf or whatever is banned.

Agree with you. The daily death toll is still (at least) 600 a day and to relax it too early would undo the hard work and sacrifices already made. If we hadn't gone into lock down, estimates reckon that the death toll could have been 250,000 whereas now it's over 30,000. Europe is starting to unlock and we will have to follow suit soon but it's a balancing act between starting to restore the economy and keeping the death rate dropping. Whatever the Government decide, closet experts will claim it's wrong. It's a judgement call I wouldn't like to make or criticize whatever is decided as they are following the best scientific advice.

im in the same situation I live 2 fields away from my syndicate and I have been walking round it as part of my exercise but its hard not being able to fish it considering how close it is.
