I was wondering if I should get another Shimano XTD 5500 or get a Nash GT reel or something?

I would go with Shimano , Nash are not known for their reels.

Theres no contest, shimano. I wouldnt touch anything with gash written on it. Everything ive ever bought from them broke other than a barrow.

Honestly, I'd go with literally any other reel manufacturer/brand on the market over Nash.

Oooh the hate nash brigade are out in force, funny thing is I would wager these reels come from the same factory as many others ie wychwood, sonic, lower end Penn.

I'm not a Nash hater buddy. It's just that everything I've bought from Nash in the last 10/15 years has failed prematurely.
