Im looking for a splicing needle that doesn't break! If there is such a thing that is ;-). recommendations please.

Best I have used by a mile is the fox easy splice needle makes splicing a doddle and I have not managed to break it yet

I've just bought one of these after snapping two of the gate latch ones. Good to hear they're decent!

ESP ones, last for ages
Tip, its all about how you splice with them, practice makes perfect. You need to support the outer sheath lightly with your finger and thumb and tease the inner as you pull it through otherwise it locks up

ESP ones for me also.
I always found it was better to push the leadcore up rather than trying to pull it thru'. If that makes sense?
Pulling it is when the needles are prone to break.

They are and they seem alot easier to actually push through and pull back as that diamond shape seems to open the material slightly.I used to hate splicing but this has made it easy

Exactly that, get it right they will last for a year of two

I like using the fox one to get some hooklinks materials through the eye of a hook as the end pops through the eye put material in the slot pull back job done no more struggling with that either

Esp for me, about a fiver for 3 and it's not easy to break them.

No ya tit it's when using thick materials that are hard to get through the eye more than once the easy splice makes it a doddle

Used to have a esp one for years, until it broke but haven't had one as good since

Easy, Fox Easy Splice. Bought 2 when they first come out, still got both, one still in it's packet, no way of breaking it. The best by far. No brittle hooks to snap!

I find the Fox yellow ones absolutely fine...with splicing it's definitely about which material you are using...I use the Fox submerge in 60lb which is very good and easy to splice...plus when you are pulling the loop back through just keep wiggling the needle as it goes through then it's easy
