Has anyone watched the latest Kev Ellis video with Kenny Gates?

Kenny mentions brocacell not being suitable with fishmeal and also other ingredients to kick start it

Would it be carbohydrates and sugars in the bait to increase the yeast activity of the brocacell?

Has anyone got any experience of achieving this?

Cheers

Mainline Cell probably best example.
The Brocacell makes the so called 'crap/carb based baits' carbohydrates and sugars potentially more available, and digestible, so more nutritionally viable, than a carb bait without it.

Some people may still use it in a fishmeal as a taste enhancer.

I found his comments a bit strange, considering that there will still be binders in the form of semo and a fair chunk of birdfood in there, which is mainly carbs. So it will still work on those bits in a 'fishmeal type' bait.

I thought the same - I think it's more effective in a higher carb bait but still effective in a fishmeal

I have been watching most of the YouTube vids his bait looks good but he needs a website and get with modern day internet sales no point telling the world about his baits but we can't purchase them if your miles away
Plus he never answers the phone even if you call the times he says on videos

Perhaps he doesn't want to, or can't afford the capital investment to expand the business. Not everyone wants to be the next mainline.

Why keep getting Kev to do vids then if he don't want the business?

Maybe he's keeping it on the low down. Doesn't really want the tax man getting to busy..

From what I can gather from his vids is. He's pretty much a one man band. I think he gets a lot of his business from people popping down to see him on a Saturday morning. Which he encourages you to do.

To be honest I think he does the vids as a favour to Kevin. Think he can take it or leave it as a way of promoting his business. Happy to tick by on repeat custom as it were.

He's got or had, at least, one lake to his name, Golden Gates and from an ancient magazine interview he described himself as a "ducker and diver" so I imagine he's got a decent enough income either way and the bait business is a serious hobby of his. Anyone can get a website set up, if he hasn't yet done so then it must be because he doesn't feel the need to as his current income suffices. All these cryptic interviews he does only add to the intrigue and ensures a stream of customers to his workshop. He's sitting pretty enough I reckon.
Mr Ellis appears to have a nice enough gaff in his own right too.

For me is a cryptic interview a reason to doubt him.
He talks fancy words but hardly and facts
Even someone without any knowledge at all can do such interviews
