Hi Guys,

I bought the Korda Compac Large Cool Bag earlier this year and it's performed well with no issues. I am next looking to add the 12 foot 3 rod holdall, plus additional sleeve and one of the carryalls (likely the medium) and possibly the 30 or 45ltr rucksack. Any thoughts appreciated from those that own or have owned these. Before we start the colour is fine for me (ie: the slightly different brownish version!)

Love mine,had a few makes over last few years and this is best I've owned.Well padded and very well made

Ive got a rod bag, sleeves, a ruck sack, cook bag and probably more stuff that i cant even remember now, and ive never had a single issue with any of it. No bad stitching, no dodgy zips etc. Performed perfectly well, I certainly wouldnt be spending any money on more expensive brands any time soon.

Great, thank you! Which Korda rucksack do you have, those are usually the items that I find least comfortable? Couldn't get on with the Speero compact one

Thank you, good to hear. I had seen a few complaints about the zips on the smaller compac stuff (the eva pouches) but none on the bigger luggage items

And me speero compact good quality but there gear is just so big the most comfortable rucksack I've ever owned is the drennan specialist 40ltr the esp is a close second and I've had a lot of luggage in 40 years always chopping and changing

I have the rod holdall and just got the rucksack
I love them, great quality and well thought out.
I have the 60l rucksack... Combine that with the compac organiser and some of the large compacs and it's ldea...i have managed to fit 12tubs of Hookbaits in the large side pocket (I know that's a stupid amount)

As has been said it's top quality kit, although I would check your rods/reels fit the 3 rod bag, mine was too tight with 5500 reels..I ended up getting the 5 rod which has a bit more room.

I've got the 5 rod bag, 2 sleeves, small and XL holdall and both the spool cases.

Have the 12ft 2 rod Compac Rod Holdall, what I can carry with it

-46' Landing net + steel
-My wife's 9.5m pole
-my 2 kids 4m pole
-2 x 12 fr Free spitit Es with 2x Shimono 14000 XTE


I also had the 3 rod version and I don't think I can get 3x 14000 reels in it

I cant comment on their use but I had a good look at the Korda luggage and I have to say it appears to be high-quality gear, first impressions were good.

The unhooking mat they make that matches the luggage is massive!

The mat is absolute quality,the fish sit in the mat and the polls ball edges hold the fish in.It folds up nicely and I've never ever had a mat that dries off so quickly.It is by far the best mat I've ever had and would highly recommend it to anyone

I like the look of it, but a big miss imo is no retaining flap; I get how they expect it to be used but for me at least I'd find that useful. Until then, Aqua combi mat

Have been gradually changing all of my luggage over to the Korda Dark Camo and must say I'm massively impressed. well padded, zips work, tough material etc, etc.

Only gripe is some of the bits could do with proper carry handles and not just the grab handles on the side and they don't do the framed carryall, (which I love) in the dark camo, just the original colour.

Framed one is due out I believe in dark kamo along with coat and bedchair cover.I just hope it's not going take as long as the bivvy

Thanks, did you try the 5 rod or the non padded Divider version to see if any better? Will be testing in the shop at weekend. Odd design given Korda folks use big pit reels, albeit Daiwa

I have three 12'6 rods with 50mm ringing and Shimano Ultegra 14000 in the compac 5 rod... Fits great but due to the rings wouldn't try to fit any more in. Edit: the 50mm do have padded protectors on them as well, probably not needed in there really as it is well padded. So that is worth saying cos the rings take up more room with those on than without.

I have the compac padded rod sleeves and they were the only ones on the market that would accommodate my Aviators with AT TI forged rings. I have had them a few years now and they are still like new. Really well padded as well.

The Dark Kamo version of the 5 rod holdall has more room around the reel sections so you can get 5 big pits in them and it not be super tight.

I recently upgraded from the 12ft standard to the 13ft Dark Camo as it was super tight with 5x 12ft 6 rods in the 12ft rod holdall - although they did fit.

Agree with that. I have been changing from the standard range to the dark camo and have swapped out the 12ft 5-rod holdall for the camo version. It definitely seems to be slightly bigger around the reel area.

I've been looking at the 60lt rucksack but doesn't show you the main compartment anywhere just wondering if theirs room to fit a light pair of chest waders rolled up in it.

Korda confirmed that the 3 rod Olive version has now also been made larger, so should fit 3 rods with Aero tech 12000 size reels + 50mm rings, they did say thought it would be snug, but will fit. Will confirm once I've tested

I recently purchased the 3 rod version and my ultegra 14's fit in but is a snug fit. I really should of went for the 5 rod version.
