Any one still use this braid looking to spool my spod reel up with some is it still as good as the original whiplash

I use the whiplash8 less wind knots and use it straight through in 46lb,never had an issue

I had the original whiplash on till last year and moved over to the korda stuff and don't like it want sure if the whiplash 8 was any good going to order some now thanks tone 👌👍

Thats my braid for everything. Spod Marker, braid for snag fishing and spinfishing for pike, perch.

Just looked at this, the 46lb is only 0.16mm, amazingly thin. Is this right...
Is it too thin? Does it behave and not frappy?
I'd still want to add a shockie for marker and spomb to save the finger tips!

Never used it, but long range, 0.16 a frap risk.

Their diameters have never seemed right. I wouldn't worry at all about it being frappy.

I always go dia on line.
Got .16 on Spod,.19 on the fishing reels and.12 for spinfishing, which i would go 14 if i buy again. Frap that up a few times

With braid I always go up on diameter due to fraying, min I used was 65lb but I can't remember the diameter anymore, had it a long time.

When im in a position to pick up a spod rod and reel, this is what i was going to spool up with, tried and test for years it seems.
And Berkley have been making lines for years, if not decades, i think its their bread and butter.

The whiplash8 has a rounded profile so it helps prevent wind knots and frap ups.I have been using it for years and never had one issue.

I fill all my spools to barely 0.5mm below the lip. The pictures I was seeing on here the other day how low people full spools seems very very low to me.
