Is it me, or are these only ok?
I was lucky to win a set otherwise I definitely wouldn't have bought them, but having now used them, can't for the life of me work out why anglers are raving about them.

I agree. I found that the clutches and handles felt particularly cheap
I sold mine and am back using my poor old 10000xt's which i vastly prefer
I've got a totally brand new set of xsb mags and i had a play with them next to the xtds and the difference in terms of quality feel was massive

The drag isn't as quick as my older ones and feels as though they're fragile

Just fit the carbon washers, mines from lock to running with a quarter turn. I've also put the Ali shallow spools on mine and they weigh nothing. Also pimped my handles in a anodised red trim. Lovely reels IMO.

Got the handles done already and have spare Teflon spools from MVSpools too which have the carbon washers. Not used them yet, so not noticed the difference. Will check out the carbon washers for the other spools though.

Locked up to free spool in quarter of a turn, thats one way to totally ruin a good drag. No idea what the fascination is to make the drag so quick, it totally ruins the reel.

They're not fragile. They're just made from lightweight materials. The materials are hard and strong wearing.

Fully agree, hate modern drags they're so quick, one lapse of concentration playing a fish and you over tighten it and loose the fish.

Any owners be able to tell me how many washers they have under the spools to get the best line lay please?
Picked some up yesterday and checked and 2 had 4 and one had 5 washers?

Also I will be respooling them with 15lb Technium would the 6000 spacers be ideal for around 280 yards of line on each spool instead of buying 3 lots of line?
