Hi do YOU ! own or have used the Fox Black Label Mini Swingers ?

not i know a bloke blah blah thanks just looking for a decent review

as I have always been a fan of the original mk 2 swingers and like the price and style of these

I've got four Gerry, work pretty much as you would expect same as the MK2's if you've owned them, have you got any particular concerns about them? all i'd say is obviously on big wind swept waters with undertow etc.. or if in your case Rivers with a flow you'd be better off with MK2's with the heavier weights but apart from that perfect for most scenarios.

the indicators are for my local Colne valley lake got a mate thats now retired and he helps me with my gear etc its only 20 mins from my house and its easing me back on the bank finding out my limitations

I had a set for a while, wasnt a fan personally. Not as good quality as the mk2s, felt a bit flimsy to me. Prefer my solar titaniums with a mish mash head on, fair bit more money, but once youve made the initial outlay on them theyre going to last.

I guess we are all different and Im terminally ill so dont need to last I wont

YET again England Angling is by far the cheapest and so are the 2x 15 Fox isotopes too

I have a set that I intermittently use, especially in windy conditions. I find they are OK, I think the line clips are a bit flimsy and overall they are a bit fragile (I've broken several of these since I've had them and needed to buy individual ones to replace - given how little I use don't know why I bothered, prob goes back to the matching setup thread and the need to have a set of 3!). I use my esp barrel bobbins for most of my fishing, and these come out for windy conditions and I usually take them to France

OH well to late I bit the bullet and good old England angling doing them for 17.99 so I treated myself

The cost of them is one of their major pluses. They do the job so I'm sure you won't regret it at that price mate

They are brilliant- I love em.
They suit many styles (tight and weighty on a zig) and slack. Release easy good in the wind and if you'd have bought in white look the business

yes well as a fox mk2 fan of many years
I love the all round performance you get I bought them in my fav color Green

and good old England Angling doing the Fox 2 x 15 isotopes discounted to £9.98

stripping my gear of as much weight as possible bought some 10ft rods as will be fishing a lake 60 to 100 yards max

I fancy a change from my stows and have also been looking at these (primarily from an autumn / windy conditions perspective) - how do they work with slack line set ups?

Also assume you can leave the hockey sticks in situ below the alarms - on this basis how easy is it to push fit/screw the heads on and do they still 'locate' without the hockey sticks in the carry case?

They are brilliant for my type of slack lining where I still have some weight just suspended with the sliding weight at the back. Regards the fit, they are screw threads and I leave mine all all the time just turning them to face inwards (does that make sense). I think they have small rubber o rings (if not you can fit with thin pult elastic) that makes them line up perfectly.

Never had an issue lining them up on the hockey sticks, I also bought the Black Label snag ears with the built in adjustable height hockey sticks as I use snag ears quite a bit in my fishing, thought they were worth a mention, I also have the large and small dumpy bobbins and also the stealth bobbins like Gerry all in green as I'm a tart in all honesty I'm an indicator slut I have loads of others as well from years gone by but the Fox ones now do all my variants the rest are in a draw gathering dust.

Not wishing to send the thread off course but I had Fox swingers for years but changed to modified Matrix ones about 10 years ago ( Matrix block, arms and heads but with sliding arm weights from somewhere else).

The MK1 had two prongs to hold the line, the MK2 had a latch type mechanism to hold the line and the MK3/ illuminated Euro swingers had a cranked double prong system. Did the later and Black Label change again??

Fox isotopes expensive for 2x15mms - do you know if the head recess is long enough to take 2x16mms?

I can check later for definite but I would say they would as there seems a little bit of rattle space with my 15mm isotopes.

weight is not heavy enough on the minis and the rubber o ring in the weight likes to come out after a while which is quite fiddly to get back, had them freeze up too, bought some of the matrix ones in the end.

With the type and range I am fishing at the weight will be more than I will ever need

but thanks for the heads up about the o ring I will make sure to put a wipe of silicon lube on them
