Gonna try the A bait, was gonna start with 10kg 5kg of great white and undecided on the other 5 😬 The wasp, engima or plum zing. They all seem to do well and some flavours can be more productive on different waters.
Any advice or suggestions on my second choice
Thanks

Sound advice the wasp and great white 👍

I've done well on Wasp , Enigma and his new "test ?" bait shellfish blood .Great White has been a bit hit and miss for me .
I never did much on the great whites, wasp was so so, lost formula on the other hand was confidence in a bag, until he stopped making it.
Anyone got any ideas about the mystery ingredient in Great White?

Trouble is he messes with baits too much- if you buy and he changes it or drops it your back choosing bait unless you stick with it. Strange way to run a bait company IMO.

Had this also - Monster Maple - was a great bait for me..
Jay is a bait fanatic, he is open about dropping particular baits, so I for one can't fault him for that. Plum Zing has been on his roster for some time, I would use that if I still lived in the UK.

If your profile is up to date, and you still live in essex, youd be mad to look past bait asylum, kenny gates company. Proven baits from one of the greatest bait minds in the country.

Plum zing is a great bait.
Its a shame Jason couldn't get ingredients for NB2 as this was one of my all time favorites baits.

Would stay away from wasp. According to his Facebook it's soon to be discontinued so you'll get some confidence in it and you won't be able to buy it. A bit of a running theme on all his baits to be honest.

It does but I tend to use the same bait year after year. I'm not the sort of person that changes bait with the wind. If I have something I know works I'd rather stick to it. Horses for courses

I've never used Jason's bait, however im sure he would not bring a new, or replacement product to the market unless it was better, or at least as good , as what it was replacing.
Sometimes changes can be forced by lack of continued supply of certain key ingredients.
A good reputation takes a long time to develop, but five minutes to destroy.

I took Jay's Great White to the Labyrinth last year. I'd only ever caught on the lake House bait up til then, but the GW brought 2 decent ones. Will be using it again this year, agree, use with confidence!

Jason is the first to admit he has a creative mind and can't sit on his hands, he always wants to experiment and try something new. All his baits work yes. Are the newer iterations always as good as the previous versions? I'm not sure about that.
If you are the kind of angler that likes to use a new bait every year or so then his bait is a great option. For me confidence in a bait is built up over years rather than months and I want to know there is a good chance any bait I use is going to be available for the foreseeable future. I used the same bait for 18 years at one point until it became unavailable

From the A Bait newsletter email I received, Wasp will stay in the range next year, but only in 15mm.
From the newsletter -
Plum zing will become Plum Zing shellfish. The test bait had many variations this year including nb22 and nb23 but the core was similar. The new version will contain blood meal making it a bit darker and firmer which are things I am constantly asked for. It also contains sense appeal and shellfish sense appeal and nucleotide enhancers. I used the bait exclusively in the spring and it did very well everywhere.
I will keep the wasp only in 15mm next year and will also include the nut bait with maple, fenugreek and beef liver also only in 15mm. I dont have the room to store more sizes but I'm aware that plenty of anglers really like it and dont want fish meals all the time.
Next year's test bait will be triple S which has already bagged a 70 on its first outing. An HNV bait with spiruline, sweetcorn and what I hope will be the next X factor ingredient.

His company, his choice, but it would do my head in if a bait I was happy with was suddenly only available in a different size.

Pretty sure it's only a “hobby” for Jason as he has a real job, which is why he's constantly playing with baits. but tbh id be happy using anything he produced.
