Looking for a coolbag that will keep stuff frozen for 2-3days max. I never do long sessions so was looking at the fox/avid/korda options rather than go full yeti/icey tek type boxes.. Anyone used the above. Recommendations please....

I use the korda one, freeze a 2 litre plastic bottle of water and it keeps stuff cold for three days. If I needed any longer I would add another plastic bottle of frozen water.

Yep, find the Korda very good although think im gonna have to use the gel on the zipper again as it is very stiff and i keep thinking the zipper is going to pop off when im pulling it.

Does a 2 litre bottle of water not take up loads of room in it as it doesnt look that big.

I lay three bottles of volvic flavoured water down in the bottom,all my meat and veg goes on top.I keep my fruit and crisps in a different bag so I'm not opening the korda one too much.I have been out in some really hot weather from Friday til Sunday and the water is still frozen on the Sunday afternoon

👍🏻 will u not get more room inside with ice packs? Ive got a yeti ice pack for my yeti coolbox and its quite thin so lies in the bottom so dosent take up much room.

I tend to fish 3 days at a time and find ice packs do a good job but just try not to keep opening the coolbox. My pre-cooked food goes in frozen as well which helps.

Yes you would but there is nothing quite like a nice ice cold drink on a red hot Sunday afternoon after blanking since Friday

Wont be drinking much if its still frozen on the sunday. Could suck on them like an ice pop mind.

I use one of these too for weekend sessions . Does a great job . Not ideal for lugging round a lake but great if you have good access or leaving in the vehicle
Can't beat an ice cold coffee on a red hot morning or indeed a few cold beers in the evening

Just bought a Spankmonkey Coolabox 12 as its compact and looks like it will handle enough (I don't drink loads of beer) for a 48hrs sesh . . .will report back as to whether its cr*p or not

I use the previous model to this
they just changed the shape as far as I can tell and its now a good few years old and brilliant folds up compact when not in use its my go too for 48 hour trips
a mate that didnt have a costco card its cheaper in the warehouse got me to get him this new one and you know how hot last summer was !!! and he loves
it cant beat it for a weekender IMHO

THE only other one that works REALLY good is the little HI-GEAR Self Inflating 30L Cooler I keep one in the car for bringing home frozen or chilled shopping
that came out as a best buy a few years ago in the Which mag tests too

Hi, one thing i have done.
Those big Floor foam tiles with jigsaw like locking lugs, i cut one up so that it fits in top of cooler box.
Only used for dead baits. But put ice packs in bottom of box, plus deadbait i might or might not use in. Push down pad. Above put the few dead baits or whatever in top with ice packs.
Prob do similar this summer, but with food, water etc.

Buy a cheap one and some expanding foam. Drill top and squirt foam it. You tube video if needed. On inside buy supermarket frozen bag and use inside. Mine lasts 3 days I use frozen water bottles as well as ice packs. And make sure its packed out.

Would rather just pay extra and buy a decent one than mess around doing that. Expanding foam is horrible stuff.
