Has anyone seen or used the rods I mention ?

They look remarkable like the Nash 2nd gen Dwarfs,but at a much reduced price,also the reviews look very good..

I'd not heard of Ultimate gear before...

I'm pretty sure they look identical to the Cotswold Pace rods. I was tempted but managed to resist as really didn't need any new rods (although that doesn't always matter)

There was a thread about these a year or so ago, look exactly like the Cotswold Pace rods. Don't know if anyone actually took the plunge, looks like they now offer a wider range of TC, the 2.75 could be interesting. Nasty graphics but they can come off easy enough.

I thought they looked similar to the Dwarfs,mk2s,but I'm guessing they must be made in the same factory ,over in China..

They going for just over 40 quid each, which us very cheap

Had them and the Cotswold pace and they're identical apart from logos and line clips. Excellent rods for the money

Two days ago ,I saw them for 47 quid,...on fishdeal,I can't find the ad now,cheapest now is 53 quid..
For the 2.75tc..

No brainer at that price......

They look great ...but do I need um?

I have a set of 3 x 3lb TC with cork handles. Handled a 65lb catfish at 110 yard through a thick weed bed. I lightly scraped off the logo, leaving it completely blank. Well happy with them, especially for the money paid.

Almost certainly not. I've come to the conclusion however that it's almost impossible to not buy fishing stuff once the seed has been planted. When you've bought them just say they're crap so I don't then buy some.

I'm trying my hardest to resist..and failing ,only I promised my lady I'd not buy anything for a while ,last week, since then ,compact mhr brolly ,rare as ,that is,majically appeared ,as its a one off purchase,then lo and behold Gerry finds the wrap for it,cheap ...that turned up..

At the beginning of this year I said, to no one in particular I'd not buy anything this year..sadly ,that promise disappeared, like mist on the moors..


Nice rods tho for the money, and where I've been today would be 👌..lol

I have 2 x 2.75 TC rods, bought as my fox explorers (8-10ft 3.25tc) were too stiff for the water i was fishing. I didn't need to cast far and i felt i was over gunning them a bit. Fish up to 30lb.

I would say they aren't great casting tools, I've coupled them with okuma inc 6000's however, they are lovely to play fish on.

Hadn't given the graphics a thought TBH, can't see why you would.

Any more feedback on these. Very tempted by a set for the couple of times a year I want to drop into the lake when passing for work. Torn between 3.25 and 3.5. it'll all be bank fishing either with bait boat or bags.
