Hey Guys,

Looking for suggestions on a nice syndicate around the North West, ideally as close to Preston as possible but don't mind travelling.

Any insight on who to contact to get on a waiting list or for more enquiries would be helpful.

You'll be lucky, syndicates few and far between in the NW. Are you in any clubs at the moment? Also, what type of water you looking for, size of lake, size of fish, stocking density, etc.

I fish for a small match club called Top Lock AC, but I'm after a carp syndicate now too.

Ideally looking for somewhere I can do often 48hr sessions and the odd long weekend and catch carp over 20s.

My current PB is only 22lb so would be nice to beat that and have late 20s become more my "average fish" as I know I can go to multiple commercial carp lakes if I fancy catching higher.

I enjoy the camping side of it just as much as the fishing.

No need to say "only 22lb", that's a good fish in the NW.

Not exactly a syndicate, but have you got your name down for Prince Albert?

Also, have you tried Raby Mere? Don't know what it's like.

if anyone points you of the direction of commonwood in Wrexham,avoid it like the plague...its the most soulless place you'll ever fish,waters are small and stuffed with fish, the pictures they have make the waters look big but they're not.....its a pure money making scheme..avoid at all costs

Rather than look on your door step in the north west be prepared to travel imho also the word syndicate is a very watered down term these days and most are very busy limited member clubs (circuit waters) either or you won't get any joy in the short term regarding acceptance

Get yourself down Westport lake.

Good old Wesser, went for a walk around a couple of months ago, loads of rats, even in the day. Used to be a lot of rats back in the 80's and 90's, but only at night, not in the day.

How far is it from you to Fouldrige reservoir and the Pendle and Burnley club?

Pendle Burnley and DistrictAngling Club

Other than Fouldridge they have a few other waters, may be worth a look.
I have a friend who lives in Pendle, I'll see if I can find anything around there.

Used to do it all the time in the late 80's and early 90's, not the most pleasant of places even back then.
