On e bay search for super bright night light usb rechargeable led camping light tent lantern outdoor best you will get for the price. Unless you need a red light this is ideal. Best I've tried.

Yes that's it. Not as sophisticated as Gerry's suggestion , but if you only need a white light it's good.. You can be sure if Gerry recommends something it will be good too.

A Wolf Mozzie Zappa works perfect for me and you get the benefit of the bug zapper.
It's got a downlight underneath and can be switched between zapping, light or light and zapping.
If you have it above your head just press a button on the side and the light comes straight on.

I just have a £4 wall light from Aldi's special sales with a flick switch in the middle and velcro it to roof of bivvy or use the magnet.
I used to have a remote control light which I built with parts from China which cost me about £5 in total and had it in a small clear perspex toothbrush holder just a bit bigger than your finger apart from the battery.
But, I stopped using it as I got sick of loosing the remote, remote batteries going flat, and the distance that I had to reach for the remote next to the bed, was the same distance it is to turn a light on in the roof of your bivvy so its a bit pointless.
These are what I use and they are available in a lot of places. You can even get the same light with a dimmer switch which I also use as well and also one with a motion sensor. But, they are not wireless so I don't know why they are advertised as such, unless these are different.

But, I find also. a headtorch on its own is all you need. The only convenience a bivvy light has its always there ready for use as opposed to having to put the headtorch on unless you use it as a hand torch.

I acquired one of these from work a few years back and its brilliant, it has 2 brightness setting's and the battery is great.

I have a couple of these. They are small, weigh nothing and not to bright.. the pir helps me with finding my glasses etc (eyes are damaged so night vision is bad anyway) I always charge up during the day so only ever use one.

That's another one that I used to use, Bought it from Boyes and I think it is a lot cheaper.
Only problem I found with it, is the button can be pushed in too far in and it jams in and it can be a pain to get it to pop out again.

Must have had mine nearly 10 years now and never had a problem with it. Been dropped a few times and still works great.

Just got the Bivvy Lite Elite IR by RidgeMonkey, 3 light options, has a bank stick stand and comes with remote - seems quite solid and does the job quite well.

For low level lighting I use on of the Clip in reading lights more than enough for me
