Hi all

I ordered a stainless rp1 with Kent tackle last week.

I received a call yesterday saying it's not coming now as Jag don't have any 😟

Iv searched high and low I'm my area (east Sussex) and can't find one.

Does anyone know how long Jag take to produce their products? You'd expect them to be pretty quick being a UK company but from what I've read it could be months.

I have contacted Jag but not had a reply.

HVe you tried ringing them directly?

I've seen a few kn the second hand market if that's any good to you?

Think there's an angler on here who buys gear out of habit but doesn't fish anymore. Purchased because it looked good and it's a hobby to collect tackle? Dunno his name but sounds like it hasn't been used and might be worth contacting him with the offer of notes and a cuddle? 😂 good luck on your search. I use some of the jag gear and it's really well made

Ha ha yes thats me but im not selling it, im not even sure where I put it if Im honest as tried to find it the other day without any luck. The wifes probably hid it 😀

They cannot make them fast enough atm.

Through lockdown Jag where focusing their efforts on other non fishing products to help the governmental NHS and now they are working their socks off to get through the back orders of rp1s.

Been waiting a couple of months for mine

Just got a reply from jag which i have copied and pasted below.

I managed to pick up a mint one yesterday from a chap on a Facebook group.

I've been trying to source one but out of stock everywhere and as mentioned below now likely to be back in stock from the end of June as the tackle shop I spoke to today had spoken to Jag.

You must have went for the Black one! I ordered the Stainless 316 one a month ago as found a shop with stock must admit very impressed with it superb build and so fast to put up and put away, definitely one of my better tackle purchases

Anyone using this pod?

Can you tell me does it extend long enough to get the butt

Makes sense - RP1 is silly small

Still unlikely you'll be able to putt a butt ring behind your alarms - you can with a Fox Quattro however!

Bound to be a mk2 out this year which will be an XL version. I think they need to be a little wider as well as the length.

My situation is that I have a 3 rod stainless Defiant Trident
It's custom made with 16 inch cross at back 17 at front and shorter than usual sticks.

It makes for a very rock solid pod. I've tripped up and landed on it and cut my thigh open. It's didn't move.

However, I haven't fished more than 2 rods for 10 years. And rarely do more than 24 hours. After using a little KNX 2 rod pod
With my kids 9 foot dwarf rods It made the Defiant feel very heavy.

I'm not a serial upgrader but I will swap for.stuff that makes setup quicker so I was impressed with this pod.

Since then I've weighed my Defiant It's 2.72kg. The Jag is 1.4

So not the massive weight saving I first thought. And if its dinky then stability worries me. As that Nash one just about handles 9 foot dwarfs and will happily tip over.

Curious, I weighed.my very comfy but heavy old Nash indulgence wideboy that was 12.7kg

A standard wychwood Tactical is only 8kg . I dont need a wide.any more. So that's a much better weight saving.

So admit it you've lost shed loads of weight and all your kit is now to heavy for you to push

I have lost weight since then. But I'm also a lot older lol
The bedchair has been on my mind as it takes a lot of room in the Tempest 100t. It's way wider than I need. Especially as they don't have adjusting wheels anymore.

I find it heavy and cumbersome in and out if van, on and off barrow and in and out of the bivvy. Yet when I take my stealth bed it's a one hand job.

Plus,.again for speed of setup I want to fold my bag in it.

My old indulgence, can't remember model, very early one, weighed a ton, lost my rag with and threw it off an enbankment onto a concrete jetty twenty feet down.

I will be keeping mine though. As heavy and big as it is and huge overkill for 24 hour trips.
Its rock solid, doesnt even creak. Legs stay extended. My son has used it twice as an actual bed

For a few months when we first moved to this house. And again last year when he broke his leg.
So when I get to go on longer trips again it will still get used.
