Got one of these for Christmas to use on my syndicate but haven't used it yet. It's assembled and in the back of my fishing van loaded ready to go. PowerPorter say the controls etc. are waterproof. Anybody out there with an owners review or users advice? Cheers

mk 8 ffs, I know a couple who put the controls in the bivy, for safety at night , the handle comes off I think.

I have a mk3 I think.
Once all set up. I take the short inner handles out
And the battery off and stick them in the bivvy.
Then put a nash barrow cover over it. Over 10 years still going strong.
Sometimes it's been used in the rain. And once it tipped half in the lake.
But for the most part I try to keep it dry

I have the mark 6, it's not even something you need to remotely worry about. I bought the prestige cover and once its unloaded and at your swim just throw a cover over it, I think they are about 20. Job done.

As previous replies no need to worry, mines been wet a few times when the cover has blown off in the night,

Do later versions. Like yours mate, have removable inner handles with the throttle on?

The handles on the Mk8 are removable and have the controller on the right hand side. I have to take them off to get the barrow in the van (VW Caddy) as the PowerPorter is quite long. Takes about a minute that's all including 1 electric connector. Same time to put them on.

Right. Same as.mine.
I have an old habit to take them off along with the battery
I figure if anyone tries to steal it at.night it will make it way.more awkward

Had mine 9yrs now and not a problem, just throw a army poncho over it and a couple of bungee cords 👍

My Mk 8 came with a free large cover. Make sure you put it on in during wet weather to keep the switch and battery dry. They can withstand a shower but not a soaking,

had mine for a year or so and been out in the rain etc, I havent made any effort to cover it and never had any issues.

Ive got the mk7.
I bought a ciruton black patio chair cover for mine.
Covers entire barrow inc barrery
Personally wouldnt risk it
