I've had NTXR's for a fair years now but just wondering if people recommend the RX+ enough to upgrade from NTXR's?

Dont think you will gain much and the ntxr looks much better than the rx+ imo.

I like the rx+ but its a lot of money for an extra led that you can change the colour of tbh

i had ntxrs and loved them,before that i had delkim txis,the rxplus are a superb alarm the battery life for the receiver
is better ie last longer,plus the sensativity is unreal 2mm and you get a bleep,plus you dont have to remove the back to change your colour,and having the 2 lghts is better. at first i wasnt sure but now i love em.

I upgraded and perhaps it's just me but unless you are on the perfect angle the 2 night lights are hardly visible and don't come on automatically. The Ntxrs were much brighter albeit one led. You do get the benefits already listed though but only you will know if they are worth the money to you. I only changed because one of my Ntxrs got corrosion and played up.

Have to agree had both and NTXrs are better IMO
I ve moved to Wolf Icons and they are so far awesome 😎. Tried the TXi'Ds and they were good but just too much faffing about to change the settings you need the manual every time

Depends really if you personally think that you actually need to upgrade , I haven't bothered upgrading as my Ntxrs do everything I need for my own fishing

Had both and the RXPlus in my opinion is better, main reason for me was the the more Improved sensitivity
It offered over the previous nxt.

I couldn't ever sell my NTXR's. Of all the alarms I've ever owned, including my current set of TXi-D's, they are the ones I always want to use. Daletronics is currently flogging a load of refurbished NTXR's on ebay and I'm so tempted to part with £130 for a fourth as a spare.
I'd be keeping them if I were you.

Loved the NTXRs but struggled to live with how bright the LEDs were.... drove me nuts. far far too bright. I had to paint over the LEDs with a dark varnish/airfix model wash in the end to dull them.
Bought the RX+ the minute they were released.. Adjustable LEDs are spot on ..Best alarms I've had and I've had all the ones worth having.

I had the ntxrs from when they first came out and really liked them a lot.
However when the rx+ came out it was like someone at fox had been listening to the things I wasn't keen on the ntxrs and sorted it all out.
I haven't found a single thing I don't like about the rx +.....and I'm really picky

I have noticed the edge of the alarm casings seem to get marked on the RX plus from taking the covers on and off..

I noticed that as well, all the second hands ones on ebay were all badly marked on the sides of each alarm from there cases.

Adjustable l.e.d.s??? Anyone know how to do this I love the alarms but have the same problem as mentioned earlier, unless your straight behind them there very hard to see!

Use the right button on the back of the alarm. There are review vids on u tube showing how the various functions work. Btw I have these alarms and they are ideal for me they do everything I need.

Would generally agree with you however given the changing wind/weather conditions and fishing different venues with different settings needed I would then disagree.

You still dont really need to do anything no matter what the condition with the new delkims other than turn the response knob once you have set them up how you want them which takes 10 mins at home when you first get them. It dosent get any simpler really. Just got to look at terry hearn, he uses nevs with no controls at all and fishes in all conditions, says it all really that you dont need all these settings to catch carp.

The RX+ really is the most complete alarm now, and you can set the sensitivity so that they make no noise in windy conditions unless you actually get a run. Easy to use as well. Just needed to sort the water ingress issue out. That said you cant beat delkim for customer service and also the warble is unrivalled. so i can see why people continue to buy them. I just think as an alarm the RX+ is a lot more user friendly. bit like the apple vs android debate

Wouldn't bother personally. Rx+ gave me nothing but aggro in one way or another, poorly built in comparison to the ntxr I've gone back to them again now after selling the rx's and I'll use them now as long as they last

All i adjust is the response by turning the r wheel, theres nothing else to do unless you want to turn the volume up or down. Theres nothing more simple. I dont quite understand why people think they are complicated, they obviously havent used them or they are about as bright as a smugglers cave.

Apparently higher IQ individuals need 60 different tones
. Its nothing to do with Intelligence, its just an overengineered product, I am sure its easy enough change the settings but I am stating that the rx+ is more user friendly. I am not knocking the delks at all just making my case how I think IMO the RX+ is superior for overall ease of use.

I still dont understand why 60 tone options annoys you, very strange. Pick the tone you want which takes about 30 seconds then you never have to think about it again, how hard is that! I would rather have more tone options to choose from than less. I would also take an over engineered product than a lesser engineered one every time, not just in bite alarms but in anything i bought.

I think annoys is the wrong word, its just pointless that's all. All delkim needed to do is release the old TXI model with some upgrades and there wouldn't be as many as them on sale second hand like there is with the TXI-D. Lets face it how good would a upgraded TXI be? The older ones with just black and white.

You will never please everyone but i much prefer the new one over the old version. Looks the part and nice and compact and does more than you will ever you need a bite alarm to do and not stupidly priced like some alarms are these days. Delkim never seem to put there prices up even with record inflation prices these days unlike everyone else.

Apart from the alarms don't like the rain and the receivers don't like the sun,so if you fish in really mild dry days you're ok

Never had any problems with the d's. Been out in blistering sun and monsoon like conditions on the tidal trent and never missed a beat and ive had them over 2 years now. I had issues with my txi pluses and thought i would never go back to delks but im so pleased i did. If something is **** i will say it is and the txi pluses where **** but the d's are faultless. The only two alarms ive never had issues with is the ace i3's and the txi d. One of my ntxr's died completely and fox were a nightmare to get it fixed and my txi pluses didnt like the rain but delkim replaced them with no hasl at all then sold them as had no confidence in them anymore but i have 100% confidence in my txid's.

I was tempted,seeing lots forsale has put me off and still hearing about issues was enough to make me swerve them.I might have been very lucky but I have never had any issues with Fox alarms even the cheap warrior's they used to make were faultless.I had no issues with the txi+ either to be fair just a **** receiver

Agree the txi plus reciever was **** and i was delkims biggest hater and always slagged them off so it took a big leap of faith to shell out on the new ones. The new receiver is digital and has been spot on and miles better than the old crackling version. I think with bite alarms and how important they are if you get a problem then you kind of loose all confidence in them. Like i said in another post its good that some people like fox and others like delks as it keeps them on there toes trying to improve things to keep one step ahead of the competition. I was also one of the ones that thought they were over complicated when i first watched the videos of them with all the button pressing for different settings but once you have a play at home and set them how you want then thats it just control the sensitivity with the r wheel and thats it no need to keep going into programme mode to change anything. They couldn't be simpler.
