Every other shop seems to have 10% off at the min some even have 15% but they never seem to have any discount. I need a few things and only they have them so was hoping they might have a discount code in the new year 🤞the tackle box never seem to have one either.

I used them pretty much exclusively last year, repeat custom most months, probably 4 grand in total, various emails and phone conversations, not even a card in the last expensive christmas order
I guess if doing massive business people arent reliant on sales sales

To make even more money. They very rarely run out of anything. One of the few places that always have everything in stock. Can get the same stuff from ad with 10% off but dont really like using them.

Im not comparing the two, ive also used jr for 25 years. The must of had over 10k off me in that time. Best shop there is, but im sure they had a 10% off sale last xmas but wasnt sure hence this post.

I'd rather pay the extra and get a decent service

I think previously they gave a discount voucher to certain customers - who spent over £1,000 in the past year, something like that? As most are saying, they don't need to generate extra sales - just walk into the shop on any day, any time - always buzzing. Best tackle shop in the UK, no doubts and service is excellent online or in the shop.

Just another one to sing JRs praises.
I only use them these days for stuff I can't get from our US supplier (Big Carp Tackle), but every time, the JR delivery reaches me faster than a US mail delivery.
Maybe one day I'll get back in the shop again......

They had 10% off on Black Friday. They do give a bit off to regulars and large purchases. I just ordered a set of three custom builds yesterday and got 10% off which is a standard discount on most of their rods. I still believe that Vic is arguably the best rod builder in the country and that is a massive draw to JR.
What you do get is outstanding customer service, not just from Matt and Anthony (bloody forgot the name of the other brother, think it's Lewis but I'mgettingold and forgetful) but every member of their staff too. They make great recommendations but nothing is pushed upon you. Even their own brand of Matrix Innovations isn't rammed down your throat. If they feel another brand may benefit you, they'll offer it as a possible solution and that's bloody good service that cares about their customers as far as I'm concerned.

Ordered a set of three Torrix 3 1/4 TC through Vic. He's also doing me two Spod rods to match (one as a spod, one as a marker). Chomping at the bit now.🤣
Got the Trakker Tempest 100 Aquatexx Bivvy and Social Cap coming from AD coming any day now. They price matched Hull Angling price so £880 for both. If I don't like it I can always take it back to a local branch that way even though the wife's from Hull. I did like the look of the frontier but wanted something that I can extend inside for when one of the kids want to come with me.
Went for Shimano Power Aero's in the end too. Tried to justify Basia and Technium prices but I've got crap loads to get and the wife was starting to turn a funny colour.

They had a sale on when Black Friday was on, best shop in my opinion I try to buy off them all the time even if it costs more the service is second to none

JR are my go too lots of confidence that any issues will be resolved unlike the 'Sports Direct' of Fishing which is Angling Direct customer service call centre is shocking like there online website...
