Good bit of story telling, not his usual style but still very entertaining ,but... my god he looked like he'd been dragged through a hedge backwards!! 😂

I really enjoyed it certainly showed another side to french fishing, well done for sticking at it driving all that way and finding random weed cutting and path laying etc

A mate of mine put me onto John's D&S vids just after the first lockdown. I've got to say they are my favourite - no BS, negligible product plugging, genuine down to earth bloke - doesn't hide mistakes and he gets amongst them.

The Cassien on foot and Right Place/Right Time vids are absolutely phenomenal, both in terms of what he catches - and the efforts he goes to in order to put fish like that on the bank.

Prefer his "in the moment" format, as opposed to the story-telling, but it was still an eye-opening watch.

Always look out for John's videos. As you all say, he works hard at it and deserves all he catches.
That recent'ish big canal mirror was a case in point...

Best vids anywhere! I wish I were his age again, but too old for that level of intensity. Back in the day I did a fair bit of similar fishing on the 'pulbics' and JT captures the excitement, the highs (and the lows) excellently.

Thank you for the videos JT. I don't think they are in chronological order on youtube, but once I got them in order on my watch list they have made the 10 days indoors more bareable!

Hi old geezer, i haven't fished with anyone on these trips since 2014/15 not because I don't like the company, but on the whole, the venues tend to have lower stocks than your average lake and reduced chances of 2 anglers being able to get on the fish.

Ive never given it too much thought but guess the phrase “we” is something I've started doing subconsciously as a way of trying to engage with the watchers and not make it sound like I'm trying to teach people what to do. There's no camera shy accomplice!

Thanks very much for clearing that up

I was sure you fished solo I used to mainly fish solo and always thought I fished much better with no distractions
personally
I dont think in a a million years it would sound like your I'm trying to teach people what to do ???
just cant see that ??

what 100% it does do IMHO is make it sound like you are not alone ( I though he has a shy woman lol)

either way Im addicted to watching your brilliant adventures its like being there

I would love to see you target and catch some of the huge European Barbel that will be the next big thing I reckon
