Thanks for feedback What would you recommend that are. Warm I've heard people talk about muck boots but I can't find out what model there talking about I've looked at the derwent

Wouldn't buy muck boots again, they're very comfy and relatively warm, easy to get on and off but I bought mine last year November I think and they'd split by March.

Must of been unlucky,had mine about four years and are still in great condition.I would contact them to get them replaced

It's a known thing on them, if you're just wearing them for fishing and not walking the dog every day then they will last years I'm sure, howvwer if you're spending over 100 quid on them then i wouldn't buy again.

Not warm, very restrictive so can't move toes, I had a size up, should of gone 2 sizes up, you can the exact same boot for half the price bit without the Vass logo.... Wore em twice and ditched em... Thought they were super *****...

I must be lucky with mine then or they have changed my tay muckboots are around 7 years old as soon as the weather turns they are used for walking my dogs no sign of splitting although the soles are now well worn to be expected

I belive they did change where they made them a couple of years ago. I won't take away from them though they are bloody comfy. I still wear them just try to avoid heel height puddles 😅
Grubs Snowline 8.5 or better still Baffin Trappers
Use mine right through winter with no problems. Decent ECW Military socks and never had issues. Once worn in they slip on
I use mine exclusively in the summer without socks on , nowhere near warm enough for the winter
Anyone got the Navitas lined boots,the lite wellie versions?
I am on my second pair of Scrubs,the ankle versions,I bought em a size too big ,and are very comfy ,however I only use em for fishing and mine are splitting across the toes,they are over four years old ,and I do a lot of fishing,so not too bad I guess..
I'm interested in those Navitas,Rovex and others similar..to these mentioned

I gotta look at other options I think ,or buy similar again,I do like the Scrubs,I tell you what I do when I'm fishing mica pits,to stop slipping I got a pair of the lite crampons ,they work a treat..

I have a feeling they dug into my heel and rubbed a bit so id try them on first.

Will do..
Boots are very personal aren't they, I used to use Brashers and Bridgedale socks ,but as I'm getting a bit older,those feet are feeling like ice cubes wearing that combo..
I did have those Skeetex things,but found em mega clumpy,and no,got rid of they..!

I'm in the same boat haven't found anything I've loved for awhile that's perfect and lasts long a fair amount of time. Had a pair of salomon boots that lasted ablut 6 or 7 years, not particularly warm but very comfy, lightweight and waterproof, got a new pair last year and not waterproof at all, also got a pair of aku boots for 150 quid, not waterproof either..
Not one bit.
I'm in the same boat haven't found anything I've loved for awhile that's perfect and lasts long a fair amount of time. I am saying you bought a pair of Aku boots for £150 and still not waterproof it's ridiculous I feel sorry that you paid all that money and still wet feet isn't there anyone that can make a waterproof warm boot for a reasonable price

Oh I see what you mean, yes it's very annoying, even walking through wet grass your feet get drenched never mind ankle height water. Will. Be buying a cheap pair of hitec or something next I think. Sorry to hijack the thread also seems to have gone on a tangent a bit.

Vass boots are decent but they absorb moisture so quickly so they stink after not too long and you still need thick socks on in winter.

I've just purchased a pair of Meindl Solden boots, took the dog out at the weekend for a couple of hours through the fields and did the job, out for 48 hours end of the week so we'll see how they are then when I'm static.

Or wear a thin pair of silk socks under your normal socks until they are broken in.. No more blisters
