Hi everyone. I've been looking to upgrade my bedchair.
I'm leaning towards the (Solar SP C-Tech Sleep System) !
but there is also the (Fox Duralite 5 Season Sleep System)
and the (Nash Indulgence Sleep System 5 Season)
anyone using any of these at the moment ? could you please give some feedback ?

Been a few threads with the solar bed/sleepsystem mentioned and the solar is superb.I have the solar bed and it is the best made bed I have owned by a mile.I have had a few fox sleep systems and the solar is better imo

The two Trakker sleep systems look pretty good too. I'm looking for a decent 5 season sleep system aswell so I'll be watching this thread to see what people recommend as I'm 6ft 4 tall and 18 stone.

I don't particularly like the Trakker beds, but that may be personal. They're rock hard compared to my Avid. They do pack up nicely and are lighter and easier to transport.

If they rock hard like you say, then that might be what I'm after. I've got a very old Fox Recliner 6 leg bed currently, which to be fair is in quite good nick (just need to replace the elastic cords so one of my kids can use it).

If that's your thing they're good. I sometimes had actual bruises, and I'm not particularly heavy built or anything. Would definetely try them first though.

Thank you guys, yes ive read on other sites also really good things about the solar one and probably is the one am going for.
problem with this in my opinion is not having anywhere to see/try before buying.
at the end of the day this are all around 400£ or more and not seeing/trying always puts me a bit off

How long have you had it please mate and did you get it as a sleep system or bedchair only. If you got it as a system with a 5 season bag, is the bag any good. Sorry for all the questions.

Totally agree. It's the same with Bivvies and brolly systems. That's why I'm a bit reluctant to try other manufacturers. Always had Trakker in the past and never had bad experiences so likely to go with them again but then again, am I missing out on another companies quality product.

Had about 2 years and yes it's the 5 season sleep system . Not the lightest bedchair but great for me

Thank. Definitely be looking at the Solar system then. Not too fussed about weight as no point carrying a lighter system if it gives you a crap night's sleep. I take it the 5 season sleeping bag is genuinely capable of winter use. I've got an old trakker fleeced cover (I used to use just this in the summer months) if it gets really bitter out there.

I'm same height as you although probably 18 and half stone...did you go for the standard or wide version?
I'm thinking about going back to a sleep system.

The one thing I'm no liking on the Solar sleep system is that you can't detach the sleeping bag from the bedchair from what I've read. I may get the Trakker oval bedchair system as it's 90cm wide in the middle and the sleeping bag is detachable.

I read it somewhere in a review. If I can find it I'll post a link. The review said something about how it's connected by cords which doesn't allow for detaching. If you're saying it can be then great, it's back on my list of contenders.😁👍

I've got the Trakker Oval V2 sleep system and find it more restrictive than my old Fox Mk2 flatlighter. I'm only 5ft 9 11 stone so given your height and weight I would definitely discount the Trakker as it would be too small in my opinion.

Thanks for the heads up on the Trakker Oval. I used to have the old Fox 5 season sleeping bag which was tapered at the foot end and whilst excellent for warmth, it was a complete bitch to get in and out of (especially with size 12 feet). I've still got the old Trakker 5 season sleeping bag with the detachable fleece inner (which I'm giving my eldest with my Fox Recliner beg chair) and as it's not tapered like the mummy style sleeping bags it's probably the best sleeping bag I've ever had.

I've got a Nash ss3 and I'm 6ft 3 about 16 and a half stone it's got loads of room in it and I got a back back to this is perfect for me. It's solid as a rock and one of the most comfy beds I've ever owned

You wont go wrong with it mate.
Just done a week in France on my solar bed and honesty it was like it was resetting my back aches and pains overnight.
Cant believe the prices have gone up so much, i paid less then £300 for mine brand new a couple of years ago.

I used my MF60 3 hours and put it back in the car the mattress was far from comfortable for me, i slept that night on a self inflatable mattress...also tried the previous model of the Nash indulgence 1 night (ss4) mattress was much better but build quality was poor.
For me there are only 2 sleep systems that are worth it in terms of build quality, the Trakker oval levelite (also a top sleepingbag) and the Solar sp c-tech but the Solar's sleeping bag is not worth it, my mate use the Solar sp i found him a new Trakker AS365 sleeping bag that fits perfectly on his Solar

Yes the Solar is hard which is why I like the Trakker Oval levelite more but if you like a firm mattress the Solar is the answer, both beds are top build quality, matrass is always personal.

I take it that your mate has the standard solar bedchair rather than the wide version. I'm pretty sure my trakker sleeping bag is the 365 (it's about 20 years old now so must be one of the original ones but boy is it comfy). I'll probably just get the bedchair then but will need to take my sleeping bag with me to make sure it fits on the solar before I buy it.

Yes he has the standard solar bed, there are not many sleeping bags as good as the 365/AS365 only negative: the current 365 bags are 6.2 kg...the As365 is 4.2kg but hard to find new.

Yes, but the Solar beds ar not sleepsystems just bedchairs with a sleeping bag, same goes for the trakker oval levelite.
Sleepsystem for me is when you zip the sleeping bag on the bedchair.

The Solar sleeping bag is also only a 4 season bag so it's going to be better with the Trakker 365 sleeping bag so thanks for the heads up re your mate fitting the Trakker bag to the Solar C-Tech bed. Although I'm 6ft 4 inch tall and weigh 18 stone, and the wide version would be more spacious, I've only ever had normal sized bedchairs so the standard C-tech should suit me just fine.

Am also worried about the height of the bedchair because i now use a trakker t100 brolly and at the back of the brolly my head touches the top,if i put the bedchair in the middle is fine but apparently this solar bed is very high ?
