Team GB could do really well in the football

Always look forward to the track and field events. Pole vault and sprints being my favourite events cause it's what I did at school.

Great win for the Austrian lady in the cycling, rank outsider and not even in a team, brilliant

Agree, disappointed, I was hoping should would win a 3rd.

Silver medal though in men's TQ and a Bronze in ladies Judo

Charlie Davision, woman's boxer looks very good!

Watched the scate boarding, brilliant

Gold for Adam Peaty the man is a phenomenon

And for Daley and Lee in the diving. Fantastic result. Tom Daley is great and it would have been really easy for him to chuck it in and just focus on the tv and media work. Instead he kept training and gets gold at his 4th Olympic games.

Such a shame. And out of the 200 injured too

Just watched our girl in the BMX freestyle, tried something in Run 1 never attempted in women's competition before and didn't quite manage it, so come run 2,she could either play safe and go for a bronze or try the jump again and go for Gold, if she failed that meant no chance of a medal,
She went for it and smashed it, fantastic achievement Charlotte Worthington you deserved that Gold medal.

Saw that too. Bloody mental and brilliant all at once!

Loving the story of the two high jumpers too. 'can we just have 2 gold's?'

Plus a surprise in the men's 100m final too - all very entertaining

Doing well in the Boxing too.

Great story the high jumpers

Loving the BMX stuff, another remarkable story in the woman's event, lost her funding and went alone, immense

Enjoyed the skate boarding, American woman and the champ was 34, went down to two 13 years old, one from Japan and one from Brazil

Swimming has been good and the boxing too. Golf was a good play off too

And an Italian men's 100m superstar!

Kind of agree about the golf, I like watching it but I suppose you could question the competition, most of them are professionals and play on the world tour. Like putting a Mayweather or superstar boxer in the boxing ring!

Cracking time in the women's 200 too

And duplantis in the pole vault used to do this in my younger days and was a huge fan of Sergei bubka who was the God of vaulting before duplantis. He's in a league of his own.

Well done Sky Brown, 13 years old, Bronze medalist, what a brilliant little character, got through a serious injury ( fractured skull and more) to earn her place in Japan, failed to finish in her first two runs falling whilst attempting the same technique, tried it again in the final run and pulled it off to claim the Bronze, fantastic for someone so young 🙌

Did you watch that rock climbing???.... amazing watching them.climb that wall in under 8 seconds, I've only seen the women's so far and the strength they need is incredible, probably one of the most physically demanding events in the whole games.

me and wife have just watched the Women's combined climbing, I am totally in awe of them, and the winner was unbelievable. The pain in her fingers from lactic acid couodnt stop her from totally outclassing everyone else. 🙌

Agreed. Bloomin brilliant and a genuinely lovely bloke to boot.

As a very keen football fan even i find it refreshing to see these athletes across all disciplines and their dedication to pure sporting achievement.

I think the Tom Daley one is a very special one, especially after all those years, then gold, and now bronze

Finishing 4th in the medal table and winning medals in more different events than any other country, bloody well done Team GB you've done us proud 🙌🙌🙌
