Can anyone recommend so really good cooking pots. Not bothered about cost as long as there decent and will last.

Primus li-tech,had mine years and still look brand new.I have never had anything stick to them and the coating inside is so easy to clean

Another vote for the Primus got a couple of sets of the Coleman pots which are also superb unfortunately not available anymore !

The Trakker stoneware pots are surprisingly good, detachable handle too for storage.

A set of British army mess tins is all you need, designed to cook and eat out off, mine I acquired in the 70's and still good as the day I got them. Lately though I have switched to a set of czechoslovakia mess tins, they come as a pair with a lid which doubles up as a lid or a frying pan. Both sets of my mess tins are dated 1950's so guaranteed to last a long time and you can pick them up for about £5 a set. No need for expensive pan sets.

Avoid the American tins as they are not deep enough and just glorified frying pans.

There is no evidence of it, otherwise, all cookwear would be banned from being made from aluminum years ago. It was suspected in the 60's and 70's but proven not to be the case and is now a myth.

Also, all aluminum cans for drink, soft drink and beer etc would be banned by now despite them having a lining.

There is no concrete evidence mate if there was we would have stopped using it with foods wouldn't they ????

Perhaps some risk with high expose to some of the heavy metals, buts let's stop quoting dribble because of 1 study when thousands of others say no.

They're anodised !! I was referring to the army mess cans that were mentioned which aren't anodised!! But like I've already said some muppet called Jason knows better than the Lancet 🤡

Can you not read properly either Sean they are ‘ hard anodized aluminium' that's what the majority of cooking pans are made of

So they contain aluminium. We cook in aluminium we drink out of aluminium we store in aluminium if lancet was correct well why are they not removing it ?

I work in the chemical industry so been sniffing chemicals all my life so earting out of an aluminium pan wont really bother me 😀

I have use trangias a lot but have a set of coleman anodised pans that fit and use them as nothing sticks

Been using my Trangia stove and accessories for about 30 years and will be using them this weekend as well.
