So been looking at the Trakker Armo V4 but cant find any in stock anywhere.

All depends what you want from one and is weight/dimensions a major factor?
The avid dual takes some beating from seeing one down a lake

TItan T1 Camo imho, I have a power plus and Nash Hog and Canvas and really didn't need another Bivvy however I've looked at others for years and last year took the jump and it's fantastic. Stripped down to full blown it covers everything my other two offer.

Not bothered about cost for the right one. Would prefer a two man just for space.
Got a cyprinus typhoon at the moment and dont like the quality at all. Also leaks.

What is best ? Everyone had their own personal taste so what works for one might not work for you.

Ive been using the cyprinus typhoon for over a year now pretty much every weekend that we have been allowed out and it has never let me down once. I was out in 57 mph winds and heavy rain last night and it was fine. If yours leaks why have you not just sent it back or got it repaired?.

The Kampa air bivvies would take some beating - I'm sure the inflatable concept isn't for everyone. A shame they are no longer being made, sure you could still picl one up though.
The only downside I can see is the weight and size - fine on a barrow but wouldn't fancy carrying one any great distance.

I'll be completely honest I don't think there is a “best” bivvy out there just because everyone is looking for something different. I absolutely love the trakker tempests in my eyes it's the best and can't be beaten but then I also have another bivvy for when my daughter comes with me (slx v3) I will be selling this now the social caps are out though. My friends all have them own favourites aswell nash Titan, fox frontier, fox r series, trakker armo v4, Aqua etc....
The point I'm trying to make is not everyone is the same and we all have our preferences mate just look for something you want and like 👍

100% agree with this - there are so may variables from cost, size, weight, material etc. you have something for everyone. It's just about working out what matters to you, and finding which offering ticks as many boxes as possible.
I think that's why so many of us end up owning multiple shelters - either that or it's just a bit addictive!

Thanks for the feedback. I was hoping to get a armo v4 but cant seem to get one anywhere. I think.I am going to take a look at the slx v3. What are the main differences between the two.

Just a thought.
About 3 years ago on a rash impulse I got rid of my 15 year old Union Jack Aqua M3 and wrap and got a Trakker Armo Mk3 V2. It was mainly for the smaller pack down size being a 5 pole break, happily accepting it would be slightly more faffing about to set up. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the M3 after 15 years of use.
What I wasn't prepared for was the absolute drop in quality. The poles were more flimsy, the stitching was wonky. Within a couple of trips the Velcro fixing on the rear vents, rod holders etc were all coming unstitched. The fabric then started to fade unevenly in places so it was all patchy. The groundsheet rather than being the usual mixture of rubber and canvas bonded material was a much thinner but stiffer material with a plastic feel to it which started to split where it was folded away. It short compared to a 15 year old bivvy it was crap. It had nice zip fastening front window panels but you couldn't attach clear windows unless you got it modded - in fact they don't produce clear windows for it.
Oh to be fair the heavy duty bag it came in was excellent and the pegs were OK. The rest was crap.
Now replaced it with another 15 year old Aqua U/J M3.

To be fair I've thought the majority of carp bivvies have been poor quality compared to my first two. I very much doubt the Titan will last 10-15 years. My Power plus is 25 years old and will do that again.

Whilst I agree you have a fair point, what is in effect happening is that as the price of bivvies have tripled since 2000, the quality has plummeted in certain brands, and we as carpers just seem to accept it without a murmur. After sales care has also gone west.
What I was trying to point out to the OP was that as well as looking at the best design- ie fan out, pramhood, pump up etc, also take a good look at the quality of the product as well.
Even the best designed sooper dooper quick erect, all singing and dancing bivvy isn't going to make you very happy if it falls apart in a couple of years or is developing so many niggles in the first year you have no confidence in it lasting the second.

I've got a Nash T1. I've been using it for a few years now and it's solid. I know a few others have had some problems with theirs.
