Hi guys,
i know there is a lot of similar topics, but this question goes to specified ex/owners of these bivvies or people who came close to them or experienced with them. I am looking for quick errecting bivvy (no brolly system), for one person (5'10), with small footprint and rear vents. Which of these would you recommend compare to 1. material quality 2. Durability 3. own experience. In my scope now are Titan TC Pro (350pounds (discount) with front panel, storm poles and groundsheet) or Titan Hide Camo Pro (which is now in my country unavailable), Fox frontier (450 pounds) or your tip. Is it worth waiting for a new model titan hide camo pro versus old TC PRO? Thanks for advice and please excuse my poor English.

Titan is no match for the Frontier. do yourself a favor and get the Frontier.

Double tops, seen alot with bad seams and broken zippers.
Nash S3/7 series: Tapes come loose and leak problems
Hides, also getting an update ...
Yes Fox has had many bad Bivvy series (like most manufacturers and certainly Nash)
But the frontier is a different story, saw many side by side including the Hide and the Titan next to the Frontier, both can't match the Frontier.
Btw the old Fox frontier can still be found second hand in good condition, Evo Mk1 was also a very good fox bivvy range, believe me I'm not a big Fox fan especially when it comes to their bivvies but I am absolutely a Frontier fan, Fox did a very good job with this one.

Have a look at trakker tempests aswell mate. Im sure one of the 65 they have in the range now will meeet your requirements

Thanks, but from 147 models i like the most was the Tempest 100 EV 1.0, except the higgghh price...so i ended with trakker, which doesnt mean i dont like trakker at all. But againt the price...

It means they have a history of making not very good shelters, mostly ones that leak .

Nash started the bivvy thing with their brolly over wraps about 40 years ago now and have been a market leader in the shelter department ever since, bringing out things like the titan which were and still are bloody good shelters. Things have MK2 /3/4 versions because there are many people (sheep) who always have to have the latest product.

Have you ever seen /used the Frontier ?
Have had 3 Nash bivvies (last was the Double top Mk4 2 man) all 3 had problems
And it is not only in the shop that I have seen / compared bivvies also on the waterfront, my mate had a T100 and has now sold it for the Frontier.
And even though Nash started it 40 years ago they still manage to make trash with fail zippers/seems and water leaks
and I am not saying that the T1 is a bad bivvy (for me personally too small / low) what I do say is that the T1 is not a match for the Frontier, and also weird that the T1 is so good they had to make a T1 MK2 version to solve the water problem. (40 years of experience

I've not used one no, I won't give fox a single penny of my hard earned cash after all of the items from them I've had has failed. Anything which is mass produced will end up with a certain number of faults, it's inevitable. But fox have a higher than average fail rate by all accounts. Why do you think that the vast majority of shelters on the bank are either a variation of either the tempest, the titan or the hide? Because they are the best shelters around, that's why

Nash is one of the most hyped brands (especially in the UK) and very popular with the youngs because of the hype not because of the quality
Believe me when I say that I was very skeptical of the Frontier because of Fox's reputation, but after weeks of comparing and having already used the Frontier 3 times I can say that it is more than worth the money, I could not say that about my Nash Double top mk4 and S7

Lol no it's nothing to with hype, it's to do with what they produce. Do you honestly think there would be so many hides and titans about if they were crap? Of course there wouldn't. Not really sure what the age of anglers has to do with it either, plenty of guys in their 40s 50s etc use Nash's shelters as generally the "Young's" as you call them can't afford them

It depends of the waters you will be fishing really. If they are open to the weather and you get a lot of strong winds then the titan can't be beaten

If Nash is so good, why does almost every Nash bivvy series have an MK2 and even an MK3 version, (usually due to water leaks or poor material) ?

I live 400 meters from the coast (Ostend) and I fish sometimes about 2.4km from the coast, the Frontier XD 165 high stands like a house in the strongest wind I have experienced this year when fishing, a Titan will survive this as well but a Frontier too

Loads on here raving about how amazing their ntxrs were and that nothing else compares, then fox announce the new ones and all of a sudden those same people are pre ordering them.why? Because they offer something new and groundbreaking? Nope. Its because they want to be the guy with the flash new kit. Vanity sells a lot of kit these days

So the frontier has been out five minutes and you've used it three times but it's better than my T1 and my mates that has been on vast wind swept European waters in gales and torrential rain with no issue. Come back in a few years time when it's been tested properly.

No water issue with mine or several friends that own them. Your frontier and all the tempests are variations of the original titan design. Fox have a habit of copying other bivvy designs.

They all copy each others designs in one way or another.
I sold my titan tc and went for a tempest. I much prefer the set up pack down of the tempest. The titan felt much sturdier, but also weighed a lot more.

I've got the the hide camo pro its great piece of kit my only gripe is I cannot find the waterproof infill anywhere. I emailed Nash last week but never got a response.

Guys, thank you very much for useful informations. I checked Czech eshop invetory and only option now is TC PRO. Titan Hide Pro is not available now, expected delivery date is end of July, same for Frontier :( In UK there are some pieces in stock, but due to high fee, it is not good decision buy from UK.

I've the frontier X ... nice bit of kit goes up really quick and room for a big bed and all i take.. stay away from the standard frontier most but the smaller beds are a tight fit pushing against the sides. but you will do well to find an X

I've had loads of tents, one tip from me, if it's not right from a quality perspective, send it back no matter what the brand. On another note I have had Nash tents and fox and not had any problems with them

I've had the TC Pro a while now and never had an issue with it. Easy to put up/down, loads of internal room for the footprint size. Can't comment on the Frontier as not had one, had other Fox bivvies in the past without any problems as well. It's all down to personal likes in the end.

I'm still using my viper bought in 2000, but have only just re-taped the seams on the winter skin and extreme canopy.
Haven't used Fox stuff in years as everything I used broke, even the hooks I bought were sharp around the eye area, and after sales didn't even acknowledge me

I actually saw one around a week ago when walking around an embryo venue near to me and it looked ok from a distance but don't they all? And you've been working Nash bivvies and yet have admitted you've bought 3 of them,so they can't be that bad can they?
plenty of the lads on here seem more than happy with theirs too. Every Nash shelter I've had has been decent except for one faulty hog system years ago which was replaced immediately by Nash with no questions asked, and the replacement was fantastic.
