his extra long banksticks make great storm poles. also had a set of short sticks made and different width bars.
Hi carp nets are bomb proof, although my barbel net is a little on the heavy side.

Been using his bank ware since the late 80's, strong, light and you will not go wrong buying it.

Yeah, I've got his pod. Absolutely fantastic bit of kit. His buzzer bars are very simple and utilitarian in design which are super strong. Compare this to the Micro JAG pod I've just recently bought, the Chris down one is sooooo much better, nothing rattle or shakes like Shaking Stevens; it might not be as pretty and fancy looking as the JAG pod, but by christ will the Chris Brown one will last and last, can't say that about the JAG long term, far too flimsy.

I have always liked the look of Phil Andrew's pod is it heavy i have never seen anyone using CB gear on the bank in 40 years never liked the jag grey and I think the black is to glossy

When you see the value in what you can get from the likes of Chris Brown and Keith at Defiant I have no idea why people would pay the crazy prices Jag ask. But loads do and each to their own.

The pod isn't beastly heavy like a stainless setup would be, just not paperweight like the JAG equivalent. The weight is in the two support bars.

Last year I added a couple more banksticks so I can use a low goalpost set up.
If I was starting afresh I would definitley go for his Phill Andrews set up.

I believe they are 15inch, centre of gravity may be an issue of the right hand margin rod tears off. I think 9 or 12 would have been better.
The beautiful thing about Chris' stuff is it's versatility. That Phil Andrews set up can be a 2/3 rod goal post set up, a 2/3/4 rod pod, or a 2/3/4/5 rod buzz bar set up (with folded handles if that's your forte). The clever part is the interchangeable screws underneath.
He even chucks in 3 rod rests in with them.

Agree with the concensus here, had a Barbel/carp stalker net for years. built to last, only recently replaced the nets mesh, so even that lasts well. Must have had it 12 years. Also had a load of his bank sticks. Lost one a few years back, was gutted...

I would go for the 8 inch sticks the trouble is as someone said it looks so industrial compared to others out there if he made the buzz bars better looking I am sure he would sell a lot more

His buzz bars remind me of the gardner rod pod.

AVA used the same design years back, who was first I don't know. Always wanted the AVA bars because of the design simplicity, though the AVA's were stainless which I didn't want...then I sees the Chris Brown numbers.

See your point I remember the Gardner coming out about 1986 as I said I have never seen any of CB gear on bank in 40 years of carp fishing the trouble is it's not trendy to have it

I am pleased some people think like that but the fact is in carp fishing looking the part is the main part everyone wants jag and as others have said cb gear is bulletproof and other companies make good gear but I am afraid to say it all about image now

Hi all....used CB Products for years and totally bomb proof.
Bought the Phil Andrew's set up and the parallel bar pod system....
Fully customized with stubby sticks for a low level pod setup.
His new bankstick system looks good too and a bit more on current trend.
The bankstick has the insert head machined square and flat to fit the buzz bars to stop any twist...all hidden behind the rsa buzz bar ..... clever idea. I don't think I'd use them on standard round bars though.
