Can anybody tell me if you can remove remove the centre pole of the pentalite and use storm poles,and dose the centre boss push right back to give more head room.
They look quite high up so how good in the wind.

I had a pentalite sold it I don't think it had a centre pole it just pushes over the block I thought it was flimsy no good in wind went in wind and was holding on to it I wouldn't bother I also had the supalite took it back rubbish

Thanks for that I assumed you pushed it via a pole.
Has any body got suggestion for a brolly with sides about 50''/55'' for around £100

As i said No there is no pole you just push it in block then push in centre to release you can watch you tube vid you will see

Just looked at a you tube clip of it being set up not to keen on it a small brolly with sides might be better

Ahh you too. Didn't send the supalite back, just took my loss. It's a real shame, the idea is super, but wow, execution really, really poor. The pentalite should fix those shortcomings but your experience makes clear that maybe they get it right with mk4 orso. Now happy with a small wychwood brolly, which for reasons beyond me is discontinued.

Seen one on the bank, with the owner holding on, trying to not look bothered, only a moderate breeze as well. Big failure from their design team imo.
Managed to pick up a JRC Cocoon 2G Shelter for £120 + £5 postage from Amazon. Looks far sturdier than most shelters on the market.

I think you made good choice with the jrc it's a bit heavy but looks solid can you give some feedback when it comes please as I've been looking at it too which one is it they do different types is it the one with a piece of ground sheet built in at back

Agree with both of you,re the whychwood 50 brolly,I really rate mine,its duel purpose for me as I use it for course fishing as well as carp fishing.. most likely the best brolly I have had thus far...
I started looking round,seeing if anything is comparable out there..
Anyone from Wychwood on here?...lol...

I know what you mean they had a great brolly the material was great then why change it to something that some people have had problems with I can understand if your making brollys and you bring out a completely different design that looks nothing like the brolly but it's a brolly with sides so what's new everyone I talk to says that the Aqua 50 a wychwood 50 best brollys made

one person so far had a problem maybe a dodgy batch it can happen with anything but he got a refund with no problems I believe ?
but 2 of us have had no problems and both of us used in wet weather and having owned and used the 50" Wychwood I far and away prefer this new 55"

As said there was only a couple of people that had a problem so maybe have a look at the wychwood 55 as there is one thing about the 50 that I am a fan of you need a compact bed otherwise get wet the 55 would have more cover but for just days the 50 is fine
