I'm looking for a quick lightweight shelter for day sessions. The hide i believe would be ideal.
I've read that they are relatively low (would be sitting on a chair anyhow). As I'm only 5ft 8, would i have any trouble with this?
Not had a chance to see one up close and looking to purchase one second hand if one comes up.

I had one for a while, it was rock solid and plenty tall enough for me to sit on the bed or a chair, I'm 5'10''.
If it's just for day sessions don't rule out the Korum day shelter... much quicker to put up, taller and very cheap. I used one for years for winter piking and day sessions with my kid.

I had the nash dwarf day shelter it was rubbish the ribs jammed when I tried to pack it up sent it back got a refund had a chub day shelter instead

I'm 6ft 2 and love my hide. Added bonus for day sessions is it doesn't necessarily need pegging out!

I got one this year, despite all the nash bashing, its brilliant.
I use it for overnighters and have used it for days - easy to go up, small pack away, loads of room inside, I'm 6" and can see out of it, generally a great bit of kit and glad I bought it.

I've got the xl, tbh its the best shelter I've owned, the height being a big factor for me, and also v fast set up

Thanks all for input. Looks like the Nash hide will do the job for me.
Looks nice and compact to carry. Currently have a fox supa brolly which is great, but a pain to carry for a day session.
Now to find one !!!

How to they fair versatility wise. Can you make them lower/ wider or can they only be used on the tension strap? Tempted to give one a go

You say a tempest brolly is way too big for you then the hide will be the same. It's very similar

Read the dimensions.
Tempest brolly 125cm H x 230cm D x 250cm
Titan hide (h)132cm x (d) 180cm x 230cm
I'd say 200mm wider, and 500mm deeper is quiet a significant difference in size for a shelter.
Do you know if it is as versatile as the tempest?

Such dimensions do not mean anything, if 1 bivvy is 250 x 200 and has a flat back then it is usually bigger on the inside than a bivvy with a V back that is 250 x 250

Well actually they do. If something is 200mm bigger, then it is 200mm bigger. I don't care about the shape, it needs to be able to fit into tight swims, but I would like a bivvy with some degree of versatility should it ever be needed. Like I said on the other thread that matey has dragged up onto here. The tempest brolly is too big, As much as I like the concept of it, I've had it and it was a pain in the arse to get into tight swims on my waters. I don't know what's hard to understand about that but some people seem to struggle. the nash hide is smaller, that is actually a fact clearly by the dimensions, although similar concept. Have had mine for the last 2 years. Love it, so quick and easy to erect.
Height no issue for me, has like you I am 5' 8” myself.
One of my mates has just bought the latest one. Great shelter, he is 6' and no problems for him either.

You can make them lower and wider if you don't use the tension strap just push the boss down from the top and it widens. Then peg it.
To be honest I don't usually bother much with the tension strap - the strap helps make it a bit taller and more rigid (no sure its does a lot really as you could achieve the same through pegging and pushing it a bout a bit).
It has a couple of flappy bits at the front that you can tie back to give more of a brolly perspective or peg down to give more room/coverage if it rains.
I haven't fiddled too much but it has fitted in where ever I have need it to so far. I went from a brolly set up and this is defo better - more rigid, nearly as quick to put up (well once you've done it a couple of times) and quite a bit more room.
Material is nylon but have been through a few absolute downpours around October time and had no probs.

I use a trakker Brolly and a fox thing , forget what it's called , the mk2 model
I prefer the trakker overall , but use the fox thing lol
When fishing the stow as it gives me some privacy , lots of walkers and pests ,and a shelter when it rains
Only used it so far for days as it's light
Has vents and the pockets are good etc
Bit annoying as you have to use most of the pegs etc
But it serves its purpose and so far so good
