Looking to downscale my 2 man Cayman,looking at either of these I want something that's fast and easy to set up.

Tempest in my opinion as its much quicker and easier to erect. I have had both.

I've got a pioneer 150, a Tempest xl and a tempest air and a couple of fast n lights
For design, speed and ease of use the tempest wins hands down and there are plenty of options available from the brolly all the way through to the new all singing versions with more vents than you'll ever need
BUT for quality the Aqua is a big upgrade the materials, poles, bag pretty much everything are a big upgrade it just depends what you want at the end of the day

Agreed, I've had a few Tempest's and now have a Pioneer...
For speed it's the tempest but for quality it's the Pioneer.
The quality of materials on the Aqua gear is so far ahead of Trakker it's unreal.

How's easy are the Tempest or Pioneer to dry out.

Only have the tempest brolly, but it's nylon, so never bother drying it out to be honest. Sling it in the bag and it drips out a bit and is half dry the next time! Also have an armo, which is probably the same material as the pioneer? Much more fussy with being wet, if they did a nylon armo I'd take it over the fancy material every time.

I would only consider the Tempest Brolly .... Anything else and it will be heavier than the Cayman you already have and in reality not that much quicker to put up

I' might be interested in buying your 2man Cayman if you decide to sell.
As for your question. I've had V2 Air since release and love it. Got Army Andy infil, skull cap and utility front for when I take my son. Can't comment on new pioneer.

Tempest air has a metal top block , aquatex material , and slightly bigger , tempest brolly has plastic composite block and nylon material and slightly smaller and if you have the v2 tempest brolly model you can zip a front into it

Aqua are using the material I have on my Cyprinus M4 for the pioneer.......

I'm not having that the pioneer is the same material as the cyprinus
I've got an aqua and cyprinus fast and light the material is the same on them but on my pioneer 150 the material is completely different as I mentioned below and think shane24 did as well the material on the pioneer is completely different much thicker - also thicker than my tempest xl which is aquatexx same as my air and way thicker than the material on both aqua and cyprinus fast and light
