Anyone got their hands on one yet? Worth the money and as good as they're supposed to be?
I was looking at the little usb heated mug coasters to slide in the bottom of my canister jacket but the RM ones apparently have a coil design, assuming this heats all the way round and not just underneath?

so long as it warms it up it dont matter
its a crap stove design they should of had a pre heat pipe then people would not have to buy extra things to make a poor stove work in cold weather IMO

I never fish long enough to require a bbq, but on my waters a lot of guys use those cobb type bbqs. I don't think they are as much as that.

Yeah no chance would I pay for that seeing it would only be used 2/3 times a year, I like to travel reasonably light, I even think those cobbs are to much for me to take lol

WELL over priced I think
I will stick to the more versatile COBB if it was a sensible price like £60 or tops £75 they would sell a lot but at £150 it cant compare with the alternatives like

The arguments I have had about gas cannisters, I am extremely experienced on LPG and things that run on it, if people are using Butane/Propane mix cannisters there should be no need at all to warm the cylinder, people who doubt this just go onto Youtube and look at the the climbers on Mt Everest or K2 boiling water from snow/ice in tempretures of -25c and colder and YES using the same cannisters we use for fishing, last lime I wrote about this I had half brain replies saying there are no Carp lakes on Everest, NO because its to cold

I have stoves that have a pre heat pipe and when butane gas does not vaporise in freezing conditions
I simply turn the gas cylinder upside down and gravity feed the liquid gas its not a problem just uses more gas
but FACT
IF your stove does not have a pre heat pipe then ANY ****ING thing that warms the gas cylinder will make the gas vaporise and burn more efficiently
I know the Butane/Propane mix are a lot better but in freezing conditions they can be greatly improved with heating

Just have to be a bit careful turning cylinders upside down as you are no longer running the stove on gas but on liquid, in winter you can get away with it but doing the same thing in hot weather can be very dangerous

errrr ? WTF ? would you want to do it in anything other than freezing conditions
I cant be certain but I think it was Primus that produced the first commercially available stove with that capability and guess what they called it ?

I still have one in my collection and use it now and again the only flaw in the design is its very low to the ground and if you were daft enough to put it on the floor it would melt a hole in your groundsheet
thats why NOW to this day I always carry a PLUMBERS SOLDERING MAT that goes down first and stove sits on top LINKY POO

I purchased the safari Chef Pro , thanks to Oldgeezer ,my bivvy is like a burger van now I have trouble packing up and going home with the food I can cook now 😏

yes I still got 2 of them the HP and the Low pressure version which I put a propane bottle and regulator on
and used it in France a few years ago when on a 2 week French trip it was a big mistake going early as with a north east windchill of -12 but cooking with the propane was a life saver

Still not tried the cup heater he recommended, that fits in the gas canister pouches, I went for the blue one with the green elephant 🐘 on 😂It was iver that or pink.
