I'm interested in of the these two in 13ft. Shame they don't make a hi s ive er in 13ft
How do thy compare? Pros/cons? Sure I'll be happy with either. Currently use torrix TE 12.5 ft

A local rod builder is doing me a set of Aviator Plus 13's. Cannot give you honest review as there is long wait to build the blanks at Harrison. Bloody Covid. I was looking at Freespirit but he did say Harrison's were the way to go if you want to fish from 5 yards to 150 yards plus.

I can only comment on the Harrisons as I personally don't like Free Spirit. You will not notice an awful lot of difference between the 12.6 Torrix TE and the Aviator Plus, having used both they have similar actions/feel.....if you want to step things up a bit then have a look at the Trebuchet Light...

Not sure why you want 13ft, but I can tell you I have the Hi Sive ER's... just awesome. Has to be one of the best blanks out there, period.

I saw a post a while back that listed the popular range rods in order of stiffness.
I think the Ive is regarded a fair bit stiffer/ faster than the Aviator.

Which it is by some way, if I were the op moving from 12ft6inch torrix which is a very easy rod to use I'd look at the treb lite as spod recommended. All very personal preference at this level though so try and cast a few before purchase as 950 to 1500 is a shed load to put into the wrong set.

Want 13ft so I can gain a bit of distance but retain as much playfulness as possible.
Not sure if a hi s ive er is more of a step sideways from the torrix Teton what I want from the rod

This is why I was thinking the aviator plus in 13ft. Same kinda feel just a little bit extra distance.
How much stiffer are the trebuchet lites?

Distance gains will be negligible between the TE and Aviator Plus so depends how much further you want to get and what you want to put out there, (straight lead, solid bags etc).
Treb light is stiffer in the butt section but the tip is a little more forgiving than you would think for a powerful rod, handles zigs no problem.
Personally if it was my choice I would be going for the Treb as I don't think you will see a noticeable difference between the other two.
If you are thinking custom made drop Kev Clayton a message at Clayton Custom Rods, he will tell you all you need to know.

There are a couple of additional blanks in the aviator range, not sure on lengths but there are plus2 and plus3 blanks

The hi s Ive er ,is in my opinion is a fantastic rod, a very capable tool, and again in my opinion as close to an all round rod as you can get, if you believe there is such a thing.
Don't over look it mate, just because it's 12ft, though if it's a 13ftr you are set on then fair enough.
I believe the action of the Er is based on the 13ft hi S Ive, but in a 12ft format.
I will agree that some rods are better in 13ft ,particularly when looking to increase distance as well as trying to retain some sort of playing action, but feel free spirit have achieved this in 12ft with the Er.

Ive got to agree with this. The treb light is a fantastic distance rod with a surprisingly use able tip.
I have tried lots of different blanks and these have always come out on top. The blank is fairly thick but the compress easilly and managed to consistently put a lead almost 40 yards further than a t.e. torrix for me (in 13ft)
Im primarily a zig angler and can accurately fish them at 150yds without massive issues from attaining that distance, hook pulls and spodding over them (13ft aviator spod, the treb equivalent is a back breaker in comparison to that and the treb lite fishing rods)

I only have experience of Harrison. I am not a big caster combination of getting on for late 60's. shoulder injury and poor technique.
I fish a big lake at about 110 yards.
I had 4 Vic Gibson built 12.6 TE's and used them for 9 seasons, nice light blank. like the " softer" tip action. I fish on boards with 3ft of water beneath your feet, so fish can give it some at the net. The TE was nice to play fish on.
I changed to factory built 13ft Aviators last year and managed to fish in France for 3 weeks using them. I only had to cast for one week the other two weeks involved wading to spots.
I like the Aviators and felt they gave me same distance for less effort required with the TE's.
I also had to be a little more careful landing fish with the Aviators.
Initially I was going to get Treb lights but was advised the Aviators might be a bit easier to compress. ( I will never know)
My only regret is that I had to sell the TE's for the cash.

I can only comment on harrisons, you wont go wrong with the aviators in 13ft. Very user friendly and forgiving if you dont have perfect timing/technique.

I have had 12 foot er's but switched to 13' aviator plus.
I prefer the Harrison to be honest. I can cast them a bit further too.

Following a casting lesson with Terry Edmund's I use the Aviator 13ft pluses - brilliant rods. Cast very well, play fish well and not so stiff that you will bump fish off at the net. Mine are factory versions.
