Asking for a mate whose not on the forum. He's looking for a 2man bivvy that's relatively high as he's in his 60s and doesn't want to be hunched over in it. Not looking to break the bank but bivvies seem to be very expensive these days regardless.

Any recommendations based on experience. In recent years I've used a Tempest, M3 Compact and brollies which were all way too low and small for him apparently!

If he wants a tempest you can get taller versions now, I have the tempest 100T it's perfect for me and I'm 6ft 3

Fox R series xl. Suggest the one man unless he really needs a 2 man which is massive. And he won't need to sell a kidney.....

I've got a chub cyfish dome, very tall on the 2 man. I'm about 6ft and can stand with head bent over inside. I got it after having enough of rolling out of a tx2g

Not sure what is going on with chub, their 'new' website hasn't worked for me for over a month

Another vote for the cyfish, I think Chub as been absorbed into the JRC brand wernt they all owned by Shakespeare I'm sure I read somewhere

There are around 9 brands that are all together under the wholesale company Pure Fishing

Yep. I'm looking at the 100T as well. Out of interest, what bedchair do you use, I'm 6.4 and struggle with most brands. Tracker are a couple of cms longer than most but it's not ideal...

I use a Trakker rlx superlite it is long enough for me mate it's very comfy aswell mate

I recently got a 2 man Fox EOS Pro TT to use in winter, as my Cayman is too small when it's wet and my Tempest 200 is too big for just me.

First thing I was amazed with was the height, I'm 5'9 and can nearly stand up in it. It's not massive, as in you'd be tight with two bedchairs, but as a spacious one man it's spot on. Went up and down easy too even though it was my first attempt, and was solid in 40mph winds last week on the Tidal Trent.

Think it was about £210 from TFT.

I was thinking about getting one of these for when I take my daughter with me, it will literally be used about 2/3 times a year because she only goes in the warmer months and didn't want to spend to much on a bivvy that she can fit in aswell.

I use my tempest for when I go on my own but she won't fit in there with me unless she nicks the bedchair and I just sleep on my normal chair but I don't fancy that lol

You'll get two bedchairs in it ok. The material is relatively thin, but that also means it doesn't weigh an absolute ton. Big rear vents, good frame supports. I was actually surprised how well it took 40mph winds, I kept checking the pegs every now and then and not one had lifted at all.

It's well worth 200 quid. 👍🏻

Thank you mate appreciate the reply 👍 I'll grab one after Christmas then won't be sued to at least tell June/ July time but at least I'll have it

I got the R series one man xl as my back was constantly hurting when hunched over in my old bivvy. It takes a while to put up and down and is not light but has lots of room and I can stand nearly straight in it. It has made my time on the bank more enjoyable. The two man must be huge.
