I have had the speero one for last 6 months... Well made, good stitching, decent zips, lots of room and a dedicated buzz bar and alarm section... Been very pleased with it... Deffo worth a look if going for a fishing branded one

I got the new trakker deluxe rucksack brilliant bag plenty of pockets and really well made
Another vote for the ESP.
Korum make some great ones well worth a look

Wouldn't bother with any fishing branded rucksack, all made cheap, poor design and low quality. Tackle companies are just mugging you all off to be frank.
Wisport is where my money goes - military spec rucksacks that are just the absolute business. They also have molle webbing, something the dopey tackle companies have yet to discover... means you can additional pouches and accessories easily.
Military 1st are the UK stockist.

Just had a look wisport rucksack to
expensive and narrow for me know doubt they are quality but with it being so narrow you end up taking gear out on ground to get at things I think ruckbags are a good idea I have a korum lay it down open it you can see and get at everything

Expensive? Lost me there. If you look carefully, you will note that many of their rucksacks are clamshell designed - so completely unzip to allow easy access to everything inside. No narrow access or issues getting to your gear at all. One of the many reasons I like them so much. Also incredibly comfortable to carry over distances.

Army surplus Bergen every time. Got two used ones donkeys years ago and still going strong. You can pick them up on Ebay for a quarter of the price of fishing branded trash that will fall apart in front of your eyes!

The rush 5.11 series are well worth looking at. Very very well made with loads of good little features and a genuine after sales service. Theres a series of loops on the underneath too that you can add webbing straps to take a roll up mat like the aqua mat etc.

Sorry only had quick look can you say which model you use I had a ni patrol pack well made but two narrow and I couldn't get the pouches to match it dpm

Have a look at the SPEERO rucksack, can add on if needed to take a bigger load, well made and thought out too. The

Have to be honest & I have had lots of different rucksacks over the years, but the Korda one impresses me every time I use it. Sits properly on my back without making me stoop over when carrying it even though it is fully loaded including a pouch full of leads. Zips are perfectly fine as well and can be opened/closed without having to pull the material tight like on a lot of the others I have used in the past. Material is as good as anything else I have used including the overpriced "Gucci" manufacturers like Cotswold Aquarius (I would go as far as to say that it is better made than any of the CA stuff I have owned old & new). Surprisingly spacious as well tbh.

speero for me,excellent well thought out and reasonably priced. British made too with great product support if required.

That rucksack is £150 and it doesn't look like it will be very comfortable on the back.
My recommendation is one of these

These are probably the best military spec bergen out there. These were made by Lowe Alpine for the Dutch military. They are the nuts. The linked one is the smaller of the two, the largest being 120ltr called the Saracen. If you take a close look at the section that sits on your back, the whole piece is adjustable to fit you perfectly.

I had the scope ops rucksack for a couple years but recently got rid as I only used half of it! Good rucksack but I just fancied a change.

If you want something a bit smaller then I have got two of these. What is great about them is you can buy separate pockets and strap them on and off as required.

I am still struggling to make my mind up
I need something a little larger than the 25 30 ltr rucksacks as I tend to take way to much with me when fishing
I also like the idea of the clam shell type
so I can put all my tackle extra in one half
and my food cooking and extra clothing in the other
then if I go walk about I can just take one half
I am still hoping for some more feed back on the Nash
be for I bite the bullet and make my choice !

I had the previous incarnation of the Scope Ops ruckall, (black ops) and found it incredibly heavy and uncomfortable, even when half-loaded......it wasn't until I looked into the backing support part of the rucksack, (a zipped entrance at the top of the floor of the bag) that i realised the back-plate of the bag was stiffened by a plank of wood......I kid you not......

the trouble is in the current climate with Covid
I can only order online
visiting tackles shops isn't really possible so looking at one before I buy is impossible
especially as none of the tackle shops near me have them in stock !

Forget Nash mate overpriced poor quality as I said a ruckbag is a good bet there is the korum or solar or aqua also sonik and cult tackle do one if you want a standard type one then I don't think you can go wrong with speero

Yeah understand that mate and I have ordered a few things "blind" for the same reason recently.
What I would recommend however, is if there is a chance you may want to send an item back is do it through Ebay, you are fully tracked and protected...

Rex is using the Korda one, not Korum.
Korda one looks good actually. There doesnt appear to be many/any specific videos on line.
I know the argument for Army type bags, but i do prefer the fishing ones in terms of holding kit, standing up (to a greater or lesser extent) when sat in the back of the brollie etc.

My Bergen is around 15years old now and still going.
The longest I had a Nash Rucksack last was 3 years, and that was after being replaced under guarantee when it's original split at the shoulder straps.

As promised. Here's a video of my Korda Rucksack filled. Apologies for the shakey camera work. I was using my phone to film whilst trying to open the zips one handed. But I'm sure you get the idea. That jag bag in the main compartment has three Delkims on 2+1 barr, four sticks and a digging tool in it. So should give you an idea for size. Hope this helps.

but I can definitely get more in my Trakker deluxe rucksack, I only need to take my rucksack and one food bag for any session upto a 72hr. In my rucksack I take all my normal fishing stuff korda tackle box, lead, pouch, hookbaits, rig safe, electrical bits etc even fits my jag super compact mk2 pod and all my spare clothes plus my cooking bits like stove, kettle, saucepan stuff like that, I believe it's around 50/60 litre mark though and it's a bit more to buy than the Korda version but it's a very good bag.
I suppose it depends on how much you actually take because I only don't take that much stuff with me so I won't take 2 separate bags for tackle, clothes, cooking stuff it all goes into one bag

I'd scrub aqua off of that list. I've seen brand new bags in a tackle shop with very poor stitching. I can't imagine they would last long. Apparently some people have also had the fastening clips snap.

Still plenty around if you take time to look. Will be around 12 years old and still better than some of the more recent stuff brand new.
