With the cold weather soon to be here looking at getting either the wrap or the capsule for the armo v4 the question is which is going to be warmest.

Personally I'd go for the wrap. Those inner capsules look like a right faff.

I've got the inner capsule for the v4. I leave it on permantly. Cannot say which would be warmer. I untoggle a couple of them on the side as it then folds up easier.

Definitely a wrap the capsule doesn't condensation, in my experience it doesn't stop it at all just stops it becoming a problem by falling on you. The wrap is much better 👍
A wrap every time.

With the V4 do you have condensation on cold nights / winter without a wrap and only the inner capsule?

I've just done a couple of nights in my 2 man v4 and it was a light frost in the mornings, I had no condensation in the mornings with the inner capsule
Saying that as people have mentioned before if you look between the inner capsule and outer skin you do have condensation but it hasn't come through the capsule.

I've a TC Pro, tried the inner pod thing, found I lost to much space, and still got condensation inside, yes it doesn't drip on you but is a pain when packing down as it doesn't dry out well! Prefer the wrap as zero condensation and easier to dry out when home.

Had the same problem, I think they've recently had a container as had come back into stock. Got mine from Total Fishing for £160 delivered. Am getting Army Andy to put a mesh screen in the door the size of the plastic door panel of the bivvy to use on either

An inner capsule only helps prevent the condensation from reaching you it's still there on the outer skin. An outer wrap helps in the same way and having both more so. Ultimately something will get wet, one way or another accept the fact that condensation will happen and get on with it.

Inner wrap to keep mozzies and other insects out if its a proper capsule. The inner wrap will make it feel a bit more "comfortable" but the material generally isn't going to be air/water proof. it wouldn't do any harm by having another layer but to make it warmer it must be able to stop air moving through it.
Outerwrap if you want to limit condensation and add warmth. To add warmth though you are going t have to zip up all the doors and try to keep out as much outside air as possible. The reality is the amount of warmth you add inside the bivvy is going to be minimal unless you start adding additional heat.
As always said on here if you want more heat start off with sleeping bags/covers, clothing and hot food.

Well it's not Denmark anymore ok that would be mink anyway. Nash. I have the T1 with inner capsule and outer wrap. Best of both worlds maybe. Very comfy yet something traps condensation in.

As said you still can get a bit of condensation but it's not really a big deal for me. I like it as it does a good job keeping rats and mozzies out. I think a wrap would be a good idea if your doing a fair amount of sessions in the winter.
I've had a few few easy domes in the past with the inner capule and never had any condensation. though they have a skull cap on the top.

A wrap will be far better for a couple of reasons
it helps a lot in reducing condensation helps keeping it warmer and if its chucking it down its easier to dry a wrap than a bivvy when you get home
IMHO ..........an inner capsule does not stop condensation it just hides it
