Sorry to bring up another post regarding mainline but I've been using braid for the past few years now, so I'm unsure what to use.
I'm changing waters and the new lake is mono only, it's basically silty bottom all over with a few snags but nothing major. (Pads, rushes)
Casting is no more than 80yrds so looking for something that'll blend in and sink well 🤷🏻♂️
Reading old posts I've seem CM90 and tech black mentioned but wanted to see anything else that could be a winner.

I've been using 15lb Syncro XT this year and it's been brilliant. It took a couple of trips to settle down but now it does everything I want it to... casts well, sinks well and it's proper tough.
I'd consider fluro if I were you though.

Another yes for the syncro xt line i use the loaded version and am happy with it

I've never used floro but read some right dramas using it, which obviously put me off.
Seems x-line is the one to use (well from what I've read)

I've been using Korda Touchdown for the past couple of years and really like it.
Sinks pretty well, abrasion resistant, smooth and because of the reduced stretch you can feel the bottom reasonably well too.
For coloured water the brown is my choice whereas the green I've found better in clear water.

I've been using the ashima gangster strong. Strong, minimum of stretch and abrasion restant.
You can compare this line with the black technium but it's brown.

gardner GT-HD in 12lb used it for 2 seasons now hands down the best line ive used.

I've been quite happy with synchro loaded over the last 18 months but over the past couple of weeks two out of three rods are starting to lift with the slightest undertow. I've tried washing up liquid to no avail. One rod has been fine tho

I also religiously use braid so struggled when I had to switch to a mono. Tried GT HD, GT80 , PB control and Syncro to name a few but finally settled on the Avid camo mono in 18lb. Not much stretch , sinks very well but the best part is the feedback it gives you when leading about for spots, admittedly not as good as braid but I found it far superior to the others that I tried.

Synchro XT and more recently Synchro XT Loaded . . .not sure which I prefer as the original casts better but the loaded sinks a little quicker and has a more discreet colour . . both great lines IMO

Totally agree. I started on the Synchro XT a few years ago but I liked the colour and finish of the Loaded when it came out and moved on to that, both in 15lb. Both as strong as tow-rope, knot and sink well. Then I was fishing a lake where I needed to cast a little further so spooled up with the 12lb original XT. Loved it! Cast beautifully, sank well and nice and supple. I've since put the 15lb XT on my spare spools when I need a little extra grunt. Can't fault the stuff.

I was an avid user of the shimano technium black line up until this season and went onto the loaded xt loaded sank well good colours and good knot strength but couldn't get the distance I wanted so changed to the standard xt cant see me changing line anytime soon meets every requirement I'm after

Syncro xt is superb as are most of the gardner lines. Used gr60 and gt80 over the years and both are excellent. You wont go wrong with any of them 3. If i had to pick one though it would be the syncro xt. Its slightly thinner than the gardner in the same bs but breaks at a higher strain going off the tackle box line tests.
