Can anyone recommend a good 5 season sleeping bag. I've had look and the gardner dpm and avid themarest 5 seem ok. Its will need to be for standard size bed chair I want it to fit nice and securely. Budget wise I have about £150 .

I've just bought the gardner carp duvet compact, i can't give it a long term review but it seems well made and warm.

My only gripe with the Gardner bag is that the top layer is shorter than the bottom part. If you're tall, like me, you won't be able to lay full length with the bag over your head. I would have preferred to have to fold the top section down as required. Still a good sleeping bag despite this.

I have the Gardner bag, i fish all year round and i dont use the inner layer at all. I use the Gardner bedchair cover over the bag without the inner layer and have never been cold. For the money this bag is the best out there, it's exactly what anyone could want, very good quality materials too.

Ive already told the missus to put it on The Xmas prezzie list...
My bedchair Is a fox flatliner, I'm 6ft 3 and 18 stone,,,,what size would be best..compact or standard...
I do like a bit of wriggle room in my sleeping bags and don't like being trapped or feel lime a mummy

Recently picked up a fox duralite 5 season. System. The 5 season bag zips to the chair. Very nice, can't fault it.

I have the standard mate on a trakker rlx superlight bed, slight overhang all round as its a nice big bag, and like you I don't like being restricted etc...im 5.9 and 14 stone...imagine the standard would be more comfortable based on what you have said...

I have the gardners carp duvet compact,one thing I have done is remover the internal baffle that runs across the shoulder area..was uncomfortable lying on it.

I'm 6'1" / 15+ stone and there's plenty of wriggle room - also don't have an issue with the lower baffle and really don't notice it - maybe because I use a mahoosive Trakker pillow that flattens it . . . . . .best bag I've ever used

For warmth Im more than impressed with my Thermarest 5 but I dont know if I got a dodgy one but IMO the design is a bit pony...Once the inner leaves are installed they have an open bottom end held in place by two small toggles. The gap between is a foot magnet and I end up getting all caught up in it which is a PITA when exiting for a fish or a pronto p**S! Also the zips seem to work for individual layers on one side ONLY unlike my old Ventec which was zipped properly and would work for Left or Right
In hindsight I should perhaps have gone for the 365?... How do the inner leaves fix in that ..are they zipped in down both sides and bottom or is it just toggles?

Yes compact . . .don't believe the baffle moaners . . its a daft design inclusion admittedly but is really not an issue IMO (maybe they are dwarfs) . .

Even better was getting it free from Total Fishing Tackle the other month with a £300 spend.

I have the same setup.
Haven't used the 5 season bag yet as the R series camo bag has still been warm enough so far (been taking a thermal cover with me just in case)
However this 5 season bag is absolutely lush. I dont think its for everyone as it has a full fur/fleece type lining but just testing it in the garden for 10 mins its proper toasty

and one of my best ever purchases As I suffer from Claustrophobia I cant have the bivvy door down or the zip done up on my sleeping bag so the enormous Gardner DPM Bedchair Cover keeps the gap covered and me toasty
I have over the years had most bedchair covers all have been good .Aqua Chub JRC Fox Trakker Nash etc
but ONLY ONE can be the best ! as its in a class of its own 7 retaining clips and a huge size means zero draughts

Having finally got my carp duvet compact I'm well impressed it. I'm using it for the first time now and it fits perfectly and very warm . I love the fact it's not fleece lined it's so much nicer I can actually move around with out getting caught up on it.

Someone on here years ago put me on to the Cyprinus Magnetex 3-5. Best bag I have ever used. You strip it down for warmer weather. Takes minutes to take out the layer.
