Looking at buying the source boilies, what's peoples opinions on the shelf lifes as no longer have a freezer? Thanks
I've done well on The Source shelf-life in the past and even better on Complex T. I would happily use both in shelf-life form

Never used the source but I believe it may be a fish meal(?)
A lot of older anglers still only use fish meals during the warmer months and change over to something else when the temps drop

I think there is more birdfood content, than fishmeal in the source boilie TBH.
I'm sure someone else on here will know, if this is incorrect.

Hi mate, I used to use the source when it first came out, some years ago.
It was a very good bait at the time, and many were of the opinion the shelflife were better than the frozen, weather that was true or not I can't say.
What I can say is that the dynamite shelf life boilies were excellent, quite soft, broke down well, probably as close to a freezer bait as you could get at the time, I am going to presume they are still the same, although they look very different, in comparison ,to how they used to be.
As others have said the source is a higher bird food based bait than fishmeal, there is fishmeal in it.
If you go to YouTube you should be able to find a video of,Terry Hearn talking about it, and the ingredients that go into it, which you might find helpful.

Yes. Visually they are a lot lighter 'reddy' colour than the first released Source, you compared a thawed out bait against an old magazine advert and judge for yourself, I don't know if that's anything to do with the silly EU restrictions of certain dyes .. or not ?
I'm playing around with a similar, and various, home made versions at the moment.

I believe that Marcus Watts who put together the original source bait is releasing a similar bait soon through his own company, Mirage Baits. Might me worth a look if you are in the market for that kind of bait👍

Cheers for that BB
It will be interesting for me to compare Marcus's new bait, even without that one fishmeal that is no longer available, against the decade old morphed into the commercial dynamite source.

If it's decent Bait? and he's making a profit then the other bait companies are having our pants down which I already knew so no real surprise
