You screw a magnet bit in the first time you use them so then they are quick release mate.

The sticks are quick sticks. To be honest you don't need to use the sticks. It's solid without them. It's a very good bivvy not as long as a tempest v2 but higher and wider still plenty of room
Used mine for the last 3 weeks and has been faultless Like all bivvy you need a couple of times to put them up and down to find the the best way to do it Taking it down and packing it away is just as easy as putting it up goes in the bag that's got loads of room to fit it
Thought the ground sheet was going to be not that good as it's not as thick as a trakker one. But it's ok it not heavy or stiff which makes it more playable to put in and fold up
The colour of the bivvy is a very nice green and when sat inside is dark A chap who fishes on the same water as me and has the same bivvy said that the bivvy skin is very similar to the mk1 aquatex that 1st came. I wouldn't know as I have never seen it so can only take his word for it ???
All in all for the price it's a very good bivvy how good it is and will it stand the test of time I have no idea hopefully it will

I put mine up with the door on. Tbh I didn't even see that warning haha. Went up and down fine but like u say just leave it un zipped

If you try to erect with the door closed, the 2 front poles CAN bend inwards (at the bend)

Mine went up fine with door unzipped
For the price its great loads of little pockets
The storm poles are not needed as its dolid
without them too.
Nice height as well and looks good 👍

Not too keen on the groundsheet clips, so i put 3M velcro, the entire length of the groundsheet/bivvy flap, only to realize that you don´t even need to clip it up. 
Would´ve been perfect with a sewn in groundsheet.

The capsule was good but not for me to be
honest too much faffing around with storm poles
Thought it would be as easy to put up as my old
Big z but no
The AXS is miles quicker and stands up on its own
Also its a bit higher which suits me as getting old lol

no mate got to many shelters already lol but I may have been tempted had it had a skull cap
oh and just to mention some are more that 10 years old NONE HAVE EVER been reproofed and none have ever leaked so god knows why these muppets reproof every year lol

I used mine for the first time at the weekend – what a quality bit of kit! I instantly noticed that it's made of exactly the same material as the old Pioneer Ultralite's were made of, that dark green speckled material. It is based on the JRC Blox design but all the niggley faults have been ironed out–
Ground Sheet self aligns via the two locating loops each side of the door, no more grovelling about inside to line it up, no “Crap magnets” either as in Velcro, proper Snap clips in each corner as on a Rucksack.
The Square Pole inserts are much more substantial, providing positive alignment for the Poles when joined.
The Tensioning Straps are proper Clips too not Velcro again (I remember with the old blox having to un-pick all the bits of grass from the Velcro every time I came to use it from packing it down the last time) No more doing that.
Eight storage pouches made from proper thick mesh.
I did fit the storm Poles, which angle in from each corner to the Poles each side of the Door – I never seen a Bivvy so ridged once they are fitted.
It's the perfect size as well.

I have already been on to sonik. I have said about the ground sheet before it's not heavy duty it's nowhere near as thick as the tempest sheet. So already due to setting up on small pepple swims it's started to show wear I emailed sonik told them sent photos and now on the list for a replacement
I now put a sheet under the ground sheet to try and stop the holes coming threw
So if you don't have grass banks or chipped swims you need to watch that you don't puncture the ground sheet
All in all a great bivvy but in my case shame the sheet is not thick enough to cope with the swims on the lake I fish

It looks rather HD to me when compared to what that JRC Bloxx had, that looked like the woven dust covers you can buy usually in Blue.
I do remember the original Aqua ground sheets thou – they were very thick and stupidly heavy – weighed more than the bivvy I had, Pioneer off memory.
But I know what Russ is on about as I used to fish a large Res that was once a quarry prior to being dammed and flooded. It would rip ground sheets to bits if you dare to stand on it, but I used to put a sheet of the thick high density white Bubble wrap type stuff under the ground sheet to protect it (Pre-cut to shape)

Spod when I went to buy it I did mention that the groundsheet is no way heavy duty. Shame as it does spoil the package. It's the feet to the bedchair that's made the holes 😂😂. I now put a folded tarpaulin down first. If it gets too bad I will buy a tempest groundsheet and cut to suit it's not a big deal

Can anybody please confirm the depth? Dimension on website state 175cm. That is a couple of feet shallower than most other 1 man bivvies which are usually 230cm+ Thanks

I think it's a good shelter but there are a few things that annoy me!
• The tensioning straps twist
• The poles are not all the same length like the tempest, this makes erecting and packing away slightly more awkward i.e. not as simple as tempest
• The poles sometimes twist at the base, twisting the fabric
• There is no skull cap
• Peg bag is pretty poor
Things that are good about it:-
• Height, can see without crouching
• Pockets everywhere
• Vents
• Fabric seems very water repellent, so far!
• Weight, stripped back it's very light.
• Price!!!

Spot on review, I've gone from a standard hide to the axs for the extra height as I'm struggling with my legs, you can go from seated to stood up without touching the door if you right yourself properly and I'm 6ft 2.
Material is miles better than the hide but the internal space is much less, the axs is a lot wider when your looking behind it gives the impression of a 2 man bivvy but it's got a very narrow depth internally.
Finding it takes longer to put up than the hide, you need more pegs as it isn't as stable and rolling it up isn't the easiest as like said below the poles seem to twist and move.

I have sussed the best way to pack it down Never had any twist up to now. Yes the back pole is shorter but all fits nice when I peg it down. I peg the back one first then the 2 next to it before pegging they others door goes on next I tension the 2 tags at the peak last. I never pull them too tight as I think they don't need to be under a lot of tension tbh

With the front on and the bedchair at the
Back of the bivvy in my opinion there is more than enough room.
Good value for money you are always going to get some
niggles but overall I would recdmmend

I found it the easiest Bivvy I've ever had to put up, and definitely the easiest to pack away, an absolute breeze compared to all the ones in the past, I won't be asking Army Andy to make me a more user friendly bag for this one, as it already has one.

Tell you what I have seen a lot is maybe I put mine up wrong. But I see that most people don't tension the 2 straps too much the ones above the door. I push the bars down and then tighten the straps
