What would you like to know? Was a member last year and off/on for over 15 yrs. still have mates on there so have my ear to the ground 😉

do the lakes get busy its mainly the carp lakes i'm interested in and is the car park near the lakes also do they get any trouble thefts etc what are the best one's to fish thanks.

All lakes are currently very busy due to Covid, most clubs round here are full but Isfield never stop taking people on. Fish mid week is your best bet but even then they can be busy.
Firtol, carp to low 30s and usually very busy 2.75 acres roughly. Carp park 50yds from the lake, quite an easy water.
Harock house, carp to high 20s only just over an acre but some lovely scaley fish. Anymore than 4 people don't bother as they just close up shop. Also the longest walk, a good 5 min barrow push over a field.
Mill pond, carp to mid 30s and probably the quietest lake they have for good carp. Nice scaley fish. Around 8 acres at a guess, car park 20 yds from the lake
Broadhurst. Carp to high 30s and the busiest on the ticket for that reason and very clicky, same weekend warriors there every weekend. Roughly 10 acres and car park next to the lake.
Never really been much trouble but I did hear the toilet at broadhurst got set on fire last weekend. But other than that nothing in the years I've been a member. It's good value for the £100 but it's best days as a club are behind it now.

Yeah your probably right mate. Yeah I've heard about people going down broad and feeling very un welcome. I'd like to re join just to get under there noses 🤣. You mean bushmere in blackboys? I think there doing a dam construction and open again autumn next year 👍🏻

Yes mate all gated. If someone really wanted to get in they could but I've never had any problems

There might be a public footpath along Wilderness big lakes dam wall you can see the lake from ? Have a look on Google maps
As it runs quite close to the railway line
The others have no public access

Cheers bud. 3/4 years ago. Going to rejoin to take the kids and the rivers. Thought dropping onto the mill or broadhurst could be a nice little campaign. Did have couple mates on there but out of touch with the club now

Probably much the same as you left it I'm told Been away a similar time after a long association with IDAC
Plenty of Beardy tattooed camo Instagram wannabe professional anglers if that's your thing
BUSY summertime less so in the winter Peaks and troughs of angling pressure throughput the year
Surprised C&A or the posh ****s as an acquaintance of mine called them have not done some films on IDAC it's not too far from there home patch

Hi Joe,
I'm mulling over whether to rejoin or not again this year. I did rejoin last year but didnt use it much.
One of the baliffs for the mill works in a local building suppliers to me which is handy for info etc. However it has been stupid busy on many of the times ive been over.
Broadhurst looks like someone had napamled it most of the way round.
Mill is still nice but very busy. Quietened off a bit towards the winter but to be honest I just find it a bit dull. I really used to like wandering round stalking up there but those chances dont seem to exist any more as it was rammed even mid week during last summer (10 cars in the car park busy on a random wednesday).
Also a shame that my favourite time, spring, its shut. Opens just in time for spawning then take another month off.

Much the same then bud 🙄. Used to love harrock house as well but guessing that's just as busy. Been a member on/off for over 15 years. I've done better on Isfield lakes in the winter, mostly due to less anglers that's half the battle

I rejoined a few seasons ago, for nostalgia. I used to fish the Mill most weekends around 1999-2002. Thought it would be fun to have a few over nighters, for old times sake. Certainly a lot busier now, especially during the week.
Nice to see the lake hadn't changed at all in 20 odd years, still as I remembered it. Even one of the notices in the Car park was still there after all those years.

I remember fishing broadhurst years back when the membership said carp to 12lb but I always thought there must be bigger in there. That's where I caught my pb 24lb pike. Then steadily them membership went up to carp to 21lb and people started showing it some interest

Public footpath runs close enough to see If very busy
Park up in the churchyard and walk down the path opposite the school entrance

Only just done it mate. Waiting for some of the dreamers to do couple weeks on the river then I'll be targeting the Ouse

Done couple trips so far. Not many. Harock not been to busy but has its times.
Broadhurst looks lovely. Not sure what people mean by napalmed they haven't ripped every tree out just tidied it up still loads of bank side trees. Mill is struggling and closed due to low oxygen levels and pumps running after bream and pike found belly up

Harrock had a lot of fish stolen. Luckily for me I had the big one on my fourth(last!) visit and some of the other pretty ones before that.
I joined again this year out of habit, been a member since 1985 probably!
I wanted to have a go at Broadhurst this year...been once, May 18th. Rocked up 4pm, set up, had a couple Bream into darkness. 3am I get my 3rd run, it's the big one (Bitemark). 4am packed up. 6am home. Very flukey!
See you on the river some time Joe, still not river fished this year yet...although I did happen past a stretch on my way home today and plop 5kg in...might fish it next week

I've only been the once mate.
I would like to go back for that one, and some of the other commons.
I believe the mirror can be quite friendly. A mate had it twice in two visits!?
I think I used my luck up with the big common though, so I doubt I'll ever get to hold it.
It is very clicky down there...some right plebs who gob off across the lake if you turn a head torch on (happened to a mate, not me). One reason I stayed away for so long and fished Mill Pond instead

Yeah roughly 4 fish taken from harock. I also had the good uns albeit back when they were a lot smaller some 12 years ago. Broadhurst Is so busy atm due to mill being closed. Everyone that usually fishes the mill has moved over to broad. I'm of the mindset of **** em. I've paid my money I'll fish what lake I want
