Hi
I have canon 7D and im looking the best lens
To make fish pic .
Also have lens canon ef 100 f 2.8 L.
I will tray make few pic with this set but I have to stay really far from the fish???
Please let me know what you think

That's a GREAT lens you have there but no good for trophy shots. You want 50 or 35 mm for fish pics.
On a budget the 50 f1.8 is v hard to beat.

As Yonny said fantastic lens. If it were me I would sell that lens and buy the 35mm L instead as that is perfect for trophy shots with the body you own.

Not a patch on the other one mate. It's the bog standard kit lens I believe.

Better than the 100mm prime for trophy shots though.

I would use that at 35mm and 50mm to work out what prime lens to buy.

Having said that, as already mentioned the 50mm 1.8 is a great starting point and incredibly good value.

If you want to spend £££££ then the 35mm f1.4 L.

There are several options to consider in between them.

There is no 50 1.4L buddy.
If you go 2nd hand you should be able to get the 35 1.4L

Another good lens on a crop body, is the canon 24mm f/2,8 pancake lens. Cheap as well.
