the nitecore is a game changer

no more worrying about batts, will it go flat in the night, remembering spares

mine has never gone flat on me but if i was on a long session i'd just charge it off the powerpack

probs the best development for night fishing in decades

I think it might have a low power warning, not that i've ever needed it

I wouldn't quite put it above meeting the wife or having either of our kids on my list of life highlights, but the NU25 is the best headtorch I've used, and over the last 35 years, I've probably had six*.

Plastic casing where the strap goes round broke on my £35 one very fragile unfortunately I've had it a while so probably not covered by warranty so I've made good of it.Battery life good light settings are good but if I was buying again wouldn't buy one

Not as many lumens but a really decent throw and you can adjust the width of beam . . .scare coots in the margins opposite 100 plus yards away!

Only prob with Lensers is the battery pack at the back - not comfy if you nod off with it on your head . . .on this basis like the look of the nu25!

One light weight jobby round your neck while in the bed, small comfy easy too locate and use, tikka here for me, get a take then all good.
Then while sorting your rigs, tying the bits on and getting your spot sorted plus a bit of tydying the mess up get a proper job like the fenix, lenser, etc, this one with a bit of punch.

Fishing in the middle of nowhere/France with your mates there's nowt like a proper bit of kit and it's top end led lenser for me rechargeable high power, got a few and there mega

Samalite now do a lightweight rechargeable headlight called hl600f. Not the cheapest around, but it's certainly one of the best. Outstanding build quality and 3 levels of brightness. Use mine whenever I'm beach fishing at night. Never let me down
