Really looking forward to getting out on the river tomorrow evening. I have prebaited
for two weeks and really hope I have a few fish visiting the spots! Either way I'm just really really looking forward to sitting by moving water. It will be a welcome break from the crazy lakes here in Essex. Anyone else looking forward to the glorious 16th?

I'll have a dabble in the afternoon. I'm quite fortunate to have a stretch of the Lea running through the yard at work, hopefully I'll have a nice chub or two before I clock off!

On the lower Thames tomorrow cant wait been baiting up since lockdown in a remote spot for barbel,never seen anyone fishing it but guaranteed there will be someone in it

Don't you hate it when that happens! I'm lucky that my local river sees very little pressure (especially in the area I fish) but as it's small and weedy it does become obvious when I bait it as the spots are cleared. Just got to hope no one notices it? Good luck tomorrow!

I live right by the river seven in Bewdley never even wet a line there. Keep saying I will do a bit come the winter and never do. I really would like to get into trotting on a few evenings after work but the carp get a grip of me and I never get round to it.

I got up at 4 this morning for a few hours on some spots I'd been baiting on a canal before work... walked the gear all the way down in the half light only to find someone bivvied up right where I wanted to be

You've got to wonder "what is the point?" when this is the busiest day of the whole year.
May as well wait a week when the other 80% are back on their club waters.

Maybe not.... you may be seeing the rise of the furloughed RIVER carpers, those that cannot get a swim on a local lake.
The glorious 16th is special, when you can get a decent swim

Same most places nowadays. Or should I say hopefully at the moment? It's the one single thing I hate about where we are now, the popularity of the pastime. I don't want to talk bollox, be pestered, fight over swims and most importantly I can rarely fish where I want to
All I want to do is go fishing for some piece and quite and be left to get on with it
This could be just me but I feel there is also an ever increasing number of anglers who want to talk to everybody, know everybody, talk about everybody and have caught everything from everywhere. Seriously, I don't give a ****, just go and enjoy your fishing, please!
