I have been looking for a syndicate to join near Portsmouth for the past 10 years or more, everywhere the waiting lists are closed and I have been fishing the local (ish,) clubs but am really getting tired of the hustle and bustle and just want to fish somewhere local with really nice looking carp.
Please feel free to PM me if you have any details of private syndicates that might have availability. Having just completed a year on Rockford driving over an hour to Ringwood having caught nothing, and not even seeing a carp on the bank or anyone catching while I was there, not wanting to join Farnham or Portsmouth again with all the restrictions and rules that come with club waters and competing with other anglers for swims, I really just want to join somewhere local and dont mind paying for it.

You will be waiting an eternity or never get on a water that holds fish like Rockford , especially for what you pay for it.
Id be looking at a whole new plan and giving it another good go.

It doesnt seem to matter what you do on that lake, nobody ever catches lol i think it is due to the number of naturals in the lake..
It may be my only option but we will see what I can find..

Water Park is stupidly expensive for a 6 acre lake with too many members which leads to it being very busy. If that rocks your boat, then fine, but it is not a quiet venue!
Rockford has a stock of fish that have grown far more than we thought they would, in the mid nineties, when it was an easy doubles water, to an extent that myself and most of my friends have had their UK pbs from there. Problem is... It's a really boring lake. It doesn't have the character of Spinnaker, Roach or Half Pit. Too many swims, laid out in the manner than it was originally created for, fishing wise, a match lake.
Have you tried Spinnaker?

I actually really love the lake and there are a lot of underwater features, the fish are just very difficult to catch now..
I looked at spinnaker, its busy now and you can only fish half the water due to the sailing club so not ideal and from what I hear it's actually harder than Rockford, but who knows..

If you're not willing to drive more than an hour to catch decent carp on a decent lake I would suggest moving away from Portsmouth or sea fishing.

Lol bit of a stupid question.. as I said I have done 28 nights and not caught and never seen a fish on the bank, so yea maybe a little easier? Lol
I love the lake, if I lived nearer I could pre-bait or do more shorter sessions but due to family commitments I can only fish once every 3-4 weeks.

If you hadnt read the post, I'm not catching there, that is the problem ..
I would drive around an hr to a decent syndicate I'm not worried about the distance to fish - it's not being able to get to the lake often enough if it's far that is the problem if it is a hard lake..
I will probably end up doing another year on there anyway as there doesnt seem to be any other viable option.
I looked at Papercourt, that would have been ideal but alas, closed books.

Unfortunately if your having to ask about syndicates on a forum then its clear your chances of finding what you want are practically zero, are you on any waiting lists?

There are a few in Chichester yes but never been able to get on.. closed waiting lists. I would join chichester club but you have to live within 12 miles and I live 12 miles and 50 yards so I'm not allowed a night ticket 🥴

Have you tried the clubs other waters? There's normally a few spaces you can drop in and they produce more fish than Rockford

They are generally busy at the moment but I think they will quieten down a bit as more people start to go back to work. Don't worry to much about the popular swims,the others still produce plenty of fish

I put my name down for a few in the past but nothing came to light.. got my name on a few more and just been given a place on a very local, discreet small 12 man syndicate so happy days 😁
