Hi Everyone, just to let you know our website is offline today for maintenance while we try to increase our server capacity, we must thank all of you for your support throgh these troubled times and can only apologise to those of you that may have got frustrated last night whilst the site was struggling to cope with the traffic. Normal service will resume soon.

Website and email update, the work we are doing is taking much longer than planned, we will get the site back up ASAP, we can't reply to any emails at present but will do ASAP. Anyone know what is happening with the site? I know they had been conducting maintenance but went to have a look on it yesterday and it was working fine. Went to place an order a couple of hours later and it was closed again. No update on their Facebook page.
Can only imagine it is a serous problem as can imagine the amount of sales they are losing with us being allowed to fish again.

I ordered last week, got a message to say out of stock two day later, refund came through, but very strange the site is down!

Hope nothing too bad happening. They are normally so reliable. Never had the situation where I have ordered something then got email to say it wasn't in stock.

We are living in strange times and the suppliers are running low on items which means the shops are aswell.
Even those usual shops that you can expect to buy from with loads on the shelves are struggling
Don't read anymore into it than that is my opinion possibly easier to take the site down for maintenance rather than take money under false pretences knowing they haven't got the stock
I would say try a few of the lesser well known shops to find what you are looking for they might just have it in stock

Was considering it. Got about 300 quids worth of stuff to order. Ideally for next weekend which is why I wanted to use Johnson Ross as they have been so reliable in the past.

I normally use them bu if they haven't got it they can't sell it

Somehow I very much doubt they would deliberately take their site down for maintenance as they out of stock for any lines... after all, unlike some online retailers, they give live stock values on their site and last time I was on there, just days ago, they had everything I wanted. Shame I couldn't get back on to complete the purchase, as IMO they are one of the best to buy from. Very rare to get a problem and they're very good sorting things out when they do. But, sorry JR, I ordered from Angling Direct and everything arrived this afternoon. I hate them BTW (poor customer service), but needs must. I bet JR are climbing the walls now it's game on again and their e-commerce site is down...

Website seems all sorted now chaps. Just placed my order and everything went through successfully.
Orded a new spod rod and few outher bits late last night
Never bought online, normally just turn up or if something big I will email in advance and check stock, always great service.
Bought stuff from them online in the past and always had good service
