Any good? Thinking of getting some as im trying to cut down my gear this year and they are much more compact than my dial Reubens. Its either these of the Fox Digis

Have you looked at Reuben 9000's ? Cheaper , more compact and set I have used for last 2 years have been spot on.

They look good but don't weigh heavy enough unfortunately

Why is that mate? The fox's are more expensive and didn't look a lot in it from the outside to justify the price difference

If I ever have anything over 55lb I would be fetching the reuben dials out the car !

They are more compact,the batteries seem to last alot longer and they feel better made,more robust.

I had the 9000's but it drained batteries (even when not in use) so quickly that I got rid of it.

Not had the Reubens but the Fox's are spot on

Tare function has never worked properly on any of mine. Zero the sling and by the time you've got the fish in it they've reset themselves. I think the early fox ones also had this issue , but has
now been resolved on the new ones.

Buying a new set of scales and keeping old ones in the car in case the new ones cant do the job seems a little counter productive to me. Besides my water i could be a mile away from the Car Park and i want scales that will be able to weigh the biggest fish in the lake should i be jammy enough to catch it. Plus there is the seasonal trip to france to consider.

I have reuben dials and the fox weigh exactly the same.My reubens are now in the loft.I won't sell them as from time to time I do like using dial scales,there is something about watching the needle go round

I have a set of RH 9000 digi scales. Had them for a good while. Easy to use. The batteries in mine have been in place since last summer - still working. The tare function works for me, no issues. from me.

I like for ease compared to my analogue ones. They are also extremely accurate I have had them tested twice (perk of my job) and they weighed within a 2 gram on a 10kg weight.

However did have the battery corrode to the terminal after a few months of use, bought a replacement terminal re-soldered and been fine since
