Just been into the old Fosters store, 6 staff and only 3 customers. Made me wonder whether the bubble is bursting. They have scrapped their loyalty scheme, share price has dipped significantly, CEO has left and predicted store openings has been cut.

Bad weather and now coronavrius is affecting a lot of businesses. If they're finding it tough they're not alone right now and with their strong online presence they're probably better positioned to weather the storm than most. That said stores would be the first to go.

To be fair i doubt 3pm on a monday afternoon is any tackle shops busy period, so 3 customers isnt really suprising. Would be more worried if it was Friday afternoon / evening

Went in recently. Shows 3 items in stock. None in stock! Stock error.. 4 days later stock still shows 3... Guess what... Out of stock. Shows x45 longbow out of stock locally but store has them.
Emailed head office.. Rude, unhelpful and condescending. Won't ever use them again. Absolute rammel

I hate to say this....but I went into an Angling Direct for the first time a couple of weeks ago....and was quite impressed!

My local store Guildford is superb knocks spots off any of the local offerings including YAC !!
Clearly 2 night shifts, followed by 1 day shift, 2 night shifts and very little sleep hasnt done me any favours

Sittingbourne is rubbish only go n if I urgently need stuff, I order of internet from AD as the stock in Sittingbourne is abysmal when you check the website before ordering it's usually out of stock or low stock there, so I usually click the buy now with free postage or risk the 20 minute drive and no guarantee of getting it! Last order was placed Friday and it came Monday morning from AD s why use the shop?
I know it's a use or lose it mentality but the shop is not somewhere I look forward going to🤷🏼♂️

Compared to my old job i dont have much of a social life now, I fish even less, the only upside is the money

I'd have though Shift workers get time off in the week when the lakes are quieter, I don't like seeing people so that'd be a bonus. Then again my old man retired a couple of years ago and it sounds like the lakes are just as busy in the week
