Hi all,
Just after some advice, Was looking for a new pod system with the versatility to use as both single sticks or as a pod set up. I have seen the Century - Carbon Stealth Pod but the price tag is way over my budget.
Anyone know of a similar set up but more reasonable cost?

If you can wait a bit, Saber have one coming that looks almost identical for a fraction of the price.

I'm with braders on this one, if this is the style you want then go with Defiant, a proper Uk based, uk made product from proper customer focused business. Well regarded by people in the know.

New direction are bringing out a carbon pod system sure I saw a video on YouTube about it but can't remember where lol. Or the new wychwood tactical pod system looks pretty decent although not carbon.
Edit.. Just looked and funnily enough it's on there yt channel lol looks great but not that cheap.

I'm looking for a new pod in this style too.
I have got a MPS Trident in stainless, it's great but I want something lighter and in black.
I've been using my son's Quest Tackle pod which looks good and has been ok. It's starting to fall apart now hence looking for something new.
I like the look of the Jag and Century pods but don't really want to be spending that sort of money (although I probably will)
Wychwood do a nice looking one for about £100. I'll be keeping on eye out for something similar.

i find all these style pods are only suited to nice flat swims and not really any good it its not a manicured swim you are fishing

Here's my take on it. If you want something to last then you need to spend the money. This single stick pod set up is keiths idea I believe so I'd buy from him and not a cheap Chinese copy. If you want a more traditional goal post or micro pod set up look at Jag.
All this cheap stuff looks great for a year but you give it one season of hard use and it will fall apart. It's false economy. I'd rather save up a bit more and buy something that's gonna last that's got proper Uk back up.

That's a fair point and usually exactly what I do when buying anything. It's not a question of saving up, it's more of buying something that I fancy 'at the moment'
I've already got a Trident, which works as well now as it did when I got it 10yrs or so ago. I just fancy something lighter and (more importantly to me) a different colour.
Chances are I'll be bored of the black at some point and go back to the Trident, who knows.
I'll be at the Big One Farnborough and hope to have a good look at the Jig stuff while I'm there, assuming you're going?

But from what I'm hearing the “Made in China” is not looking good, those who are relying on China are in serious panic mode thanks to Corona virus, basically nothing is being made.

Carpy0600: I must presume you don't own one or not sure how to set one up – you adjust the Bank Sticks individually below the Cross Bar to match the ground then adjust the Bank Stick Height to get your Rods level, in 20 years of using the design I've never ever not been able to get my Rods perfectly level our not wanted to set up where I want to go, and some of the waters I fish are “Wild Waters” ( No swims, No pegs, No paths)

Two years on and it's like it was the day i bought it, bar a few small scratches that will always happen when sticks are pushed into the earth!!

Here's a thought though. Your defiant trident hasn't given you any trouble in ten years, why wouldn't you stick with a brand you know and trust?

Yours scratches will sort themselves out Rob, because of the formation of a passive oxide surface film, one of the many superior properties of Titanium. it's also what gives it a infinite lifespan – in fact they recon it will last forever because of this self protective coating.

Just be careful of Wayne at shows he can be a little over sensitive.It is easy to tell which is Wayne though as you can only just see the top of his head above the stand

The Bank Sticks (CBN's) have been on the web site a few weeks now. This was not planned, it all came about with me being so impressed with the Carbon I used to make a custom Paddle for my Kayaking, I tried some of the slimmer diameters. In fact I made a full length 6ft Carbon/Titanium Landing Net Handle this morning for my own use, all 160 grams of it (Been trying to break it ever since, it's winning up to now!)
As soon as all three Chassis/Pods are done I'll put them on the site.

Thanks for all the replies it's been very helpful.
I already have the MPS Titanium Buzz Bars and TBN's so I think I can just use a couple of the Multi Mounting Kits for fishing off the wooden platforms on my syndicate.
