What are people opinions on these two sets of alarms. Are they worth the money? What should I go for? R3s look better in my opinion

I would go for Delkims every day , but if you like the Nash one better then thats your choice .

Delkims all day long, but it's up to personal choice mate. See if your local tackle shop can give you a demo, and see which your prefer

R3s are nice alarms , but it's Nash that's lets them down also. Poor quality checks as I've had some crap issues. Delkims are far better built and overall better alarm.

Have the reoccurring issues with delkim alarms been resolved with the new models or will they be worse, only time will tell. I did test the new models at a show last year and it looked like a visual refresh with control tweaks, your still able to draw line off a reel with no alarm activation as per the old models.
So, you can't say other alarms have quality issues as no alarms are 100% always perfect.
Buy what you like after comparing them side by side.

I had the R3s and they look cheap as didnt rate them, got the new Delkims TXI D and light years ahead, no issues with them at all

No issues with Delks so far mate and the R3s they couldn't even get the same speakers fitted.

I sold my r3s to buy the new delkims last year would do it time and time again much better alarms everything from the build quality to the features. I would choose the delkims everytime they are brilliant and had no problems with them at all since I got them

Has anyone ordered the new Delkims from Fishernator? I've ordered other stuff from Europe before and had no issues, but never dealt with these. They're coming out at £465 a set which is a lot cheaper than the UK prices.

It's funny how we complain or worry about how our high street fishing shops are closing, but you are happy to buy from an outlet in Europe to save a couple of quid rather than support a UK shop! Granted I don't always by locally, but that's generally if he doesn't have what I'm after, but I'd spend my online cash in other UK shops.

Using R3's with no problems, when wanted to change the colour on the receiver Nash send me the coloured covers no charge. Happy with them

A couple of quid? Don't be ridiculous - they're £100 cheaper than any UK price. If you're happy to pay that much more out of loyalty then go ahead.
The local tackle shop I use doesn't stock anything like Delkims, it's a small unit selling bait, terminal tackle etc. I buy plenty off him.

I wonder if Delkim will honour the warranty as they will know that serial numbers were not bought in the uk.

As they are legally allowed to do
Then the ball ache of sending them back to the Shop to send them to the uk to return back to the shop to send back to the end user.
Keep your fingers crossed nothing goes wrong lol

100% agree with you and I would hope they did
but rules could apply in the country purchased from And you would be governed by the sales of goods act in that country possibly rather than the uk ???

If you ring around the uk there are plenty doing good deals on the new alarms.I got a price and with the snag ears and some v2 bobbins they would be cheaper than fishernator.I just need decide if I want to change

I've had four sets of delkims, firstly with a wired sounder box, then later on with the plug in rx/tx system and then two sets of txis. I've had a couple of small niggles over the years, one with a head that lost sensitivity and one with a receiver. In both cases delkim sorted them very quickly. I seem to remember that for at least one repair they didn't even charge me. I'd be absolutely staggered if they'd not honour an anglers warranty. Even if they then gave a shop a firm telling off for selling to the UK from Europe, I just don't think they'd punish the end user from my limited dealings with them.

I buy the ones with the days of the week written on them.My boxer shorts are the same but they have two days on so when turn them inside out you get two days wear out of them

New Delks ordered Sunday, just arrived. Storage case included too I've currently got the R3's, I'm off for a 48hr session on Thurs so will try out the Delks and give my opinions. I'll probably blank though

But the Delks were spot on - through pouring, all day rain, then the 40mph+ winds. The night mode looks great with the slimlites too.
Going to sell my R3's now, they're absolutely spot on but I prefer the extra features and sound of the Delks.
