ok its time for a new brolly
I go with my son for days every now and then and my old wavelock 50 has died
its not done bad nearly 30 years
so on the market for a new brolly
I have a bivy or two for the longer sessions
but I am looking for some thing along the lines of a LARGE OVAL with sides
a bit like the TGgear 60inch oval brolly
but is there a bigger better option ?
I'm not a small lad by any stretch of the imagination neither is my lad so size is most important
do they make a 80 inch oval ?

Check out the wychwood mhr. Really good brolly with nice features like an extended skirt to put kit on if you don't want to use a groundsheet and a hanging pocket for receiver/phone etc. Good build quality as well.

I also highly recommend the MHR, if you are not bothered about vents you could pick up a Mk1 second hand for a good price, they also do a front for it that loops over the centre boss to turn it into a full shelter

Have a look at the nash titan hide xl plenty of space for day chairs with all your gear and decent head height or even the new trakker tempest 100T brolly when it's released later this month

only advice I can give is go look at them . don't buy without .... some are designed for midgets , got myself a tempest brolly , lasted about a month , way too low.... went back to my old a lite , bags of room

another vote for the wychwood MHR 60" mk 2 get a few on Face book market place for sale

I've just bought a Daiwa D Loc 2.5m wavelock to go in my barbel quiver. It's a proper umbrella, wavelock material and weighs over 4kg!! ffs
didn't realise it was that big until after I'd ordered it lol. But at least I can nicely cover me and kids if they come with me

I've had a few over the years and have been using the Fox Super Brolly Mk2 for the past couple of years with no problems at all, it's a good size so keeps the elements at bay.
I've just bought one of the Cyprinus 55” Camo Bundles that they're doing a deal on as I just couldn't resist the price, not actually used it bit checked it all over and all seems fine.

to be honest the mhr was great but I already have a
original pioneer the extra larger one on recommendation on here
I think that was in 2009
so I was really looking for more of a normal umbrella
this was more for pleasure fishing so just ordered the daiwa
